Musser Hooks an Opponent's Aces

Niveau 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Robert Musser had a player all in for their last 150,000 preflop.

Short Stack: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Robert Musser: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Musser nailed the {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} with his fish hooks and the {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs} runout was no help to the aces.

Michael Holm

With the pot at 90,000 and the board reading {3-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}, Michael Holm, in late position, checked over to the cutoff who bet 54,000.

Holm put his opponent all in shortly after, with the cutoff having 130,000 more behind. The player put his head into his hands and went into the tank for about 30 seconds before folding in frustration.

Holm flipped over {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for top two pair and raked in a healthy pot.

Jean-Luc Adam

Defending champion Jean-Luc Adam bet 19,000 into approximately 60,000 on the {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} turn.

His opponent conceded the pot and Adam flashed {j-Spades}{9-Spades} for the queen-high straight and took in another pot.

One table over, Peter Mylenki and Jimmy Parker have acquired big stacks.

Parker is nearing half a million, while Mylenki is up over 600,000. The chip average is 204,000 with 261 left.

Ahlm Continues to Build Impressive Day 2 Stack

Niveau 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

The hijack opened to 12,000 and Alfred Ahlm called from the button. The big blind also called.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and the hijack continued for 21,000. Ahlm called and the big blind folded.

On the {9-Spades} turn, each player took their time before tapping the table.

The river brought the {j-Spades} and the hijack checked once again. Ahlm composed himself before firing out a bet of 31,000. The hijack quickly folded and Ahlm continued a successful Day 2.

Dan Shak
Dan Shak

We caught Dan Shak in brief action, as he opened from early position for 15,000 and was called by the big blind.

On the {2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop, Shak put out a continuation bet of 15,000 and, after a few seconds, his opponent let his cards hit the muck.

With less than 300 players remaining from the original field of 2,669 and already in the money, Shak is doing well and hovering right around the chip average.
