Charles Coultas
Charles Coultas

Filippos Stavrakis opened to 100,000 from the cutoff and Charles Coultas called on the button, while Chino Rheem and Ken Aldridge called from the blinds.

Aldridge moved all in for 425,000 on the flop of {j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and Stavrakis and Coultas both called while Rheem folded. Stavrakis bet pot on the {9-Diamonds} turn and Coultas moved all in. Stavrakis called.

Ken Aldridge: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Charles Coultas: {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Filippos Stavrakis: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Aldridge and Stavrakis both had aces and jacks and Coultas couldn't improve or make a low on the river to be eliminated in eighth place, while Aldridge and Stavrakis chopped up the pot.

Josh Arieh Eliminated in 7th Place ($83,920)

Niveau 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh

Eli Elezra opened to 125,000 from the button and Josh Arieh called from the big blind.

On the {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop, Elezra continued for 375,000. Arieh put his stack of roughly 550,000 in the middle and Elezra called.

Josh Arieh: {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Eli Elezra: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}

Arieh was disappointed and spoke on how all his side cards were dead.

However, he picked up plenty of equity on the {5-Spades} turn.

Unfortunately for the defending champion, the {10-Hearts} rolled off on the river and he had to settle for 7th place.

Radanov Takes from Elezra

Niveau 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Eli Elezra raised to 135,000 on the button and Damjan Radanov defended from the big blind.

Radanov checked on the flop of {10-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Elezra checked back. Radanov bet 100,000 on the {8-Spades} turn and Elezra called. Radanov bet 275,000 on the {k-Spades} river and Elezra went in the tank before making the call.

Radanov showed {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{x-}{x-} for trips and took down the pot after Elezra showed {a-Spades}{a-}{a-}{x-} and joked that he had aces full.

2022 WSOP Featured Females: Meet Wendeen Eolis, 1st Woman to Ever Cash Main Event

Niveau 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Wendeen Eolis
Wendeen Eolis

In the mid 1980’s, women were considered no factor in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, and other than the famous rounder and professional gambler Thomas “Amarillo Slim” Preston, poker players rarely made headlines in the mainstream press. That all changed when Wendeen Eolis became the first woman to cash at poker’s “Big Dance.”

In the 1986 WSOP Main Event, Eolis battled some of the best players in the world, including Amarillo Slim, in a field of 141 runners. She was on her way to a 25th-place finish for a $10,000, return on her buy-in, and permanent bragging rights as the first woman in history to cash in the WSOP Main Event.

Eolis attributes her 1986 WSOP performance to a year of poker tutoring from one of the best, a “relatively” conservative game plan, and cooperative cards. She told PokerNews, “Even today, women can win more by bluffing less than men.”

Radanov Bluffs Cowen

Niveau 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Damjan Radanov

Robert Cowen was in a three-way pot and bet 90,000 on the board of {j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}. Damjan Radanov raised to 250,000 and the third player in the hand folded, while Cowen called.

Cowen checked on the {j-Hearts} river and Radanov bet 600,000. Cowen entered a deep tank that lasted around five minutes and eventually folded.

Radanov showed {8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for a stone bluff and Cowen slammed a handful of chips down in frustration as his opponent raked in the pot.

"He showed a bluff? He never bluffs!" commented Eli Elezra.

"He's joking. He knows I always bluff," replied Radanov.

Rheem Quarters Aldridge on River

Niveau 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

Chino Rheem opened to 150,000 from the hijack and Ken Aldridge called from the button.

The flop came {2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Rheem continued for 200,000. Aldridge called.

The {3-Spades} hit the turn and Rheem fired once again for 400,000. Aldridge thought for around a minute and then put his remaining 720,000 in front of him. Rheem called.

Ken Aldridge: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Chino Rheem: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}

Both players were sharing the low and Aldridge was ahead with a pair of sixes.

Unfortunately, after Eli Elezra called it out, the {9-Hearts} hit the river, causing Aldridge to only get 25% of the pot.

Cowen Doubles Through Stavrakis

Niveau 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Robert Cowen raised pot and Filippos Stavrakis called on the button, while Ken Aldridge came along from the big blind.

The flop of {3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs} checked through and Cowen bet pot to be all in for 385,000 on the {3-Clubs} turn. Stavrakis re-shoved and Aldridge folded.

Robert Cowen: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Filippos Stavrakis: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}

Both players had trips and Cowen had the better kicker. The {a-Hearts} on the river improved Cowen to a full house and he scooped the pot to stay alive.
