Laplante Wins Big in Three-Way Pot

Niveau 2 : 200/300, 300 ante
Ryan Laplante
Ryan Laplante

Allen Kessler raced over to the PokerNews live reporting desk to notify the team about a huge hand that had just finished.

The pot was over 200,000, with Eric Kurtzman and Ryan Laplante all-in. Tsugunari Toma was the third player in the hand and was the covering stack.

The final board read {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and the players had their cards exposed.

Toma had {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for trip eights and the nut low. Kurtzman tabled his {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for nut low and two pair while Laplante had the {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a full house and again the nut low.

Laplante took two-thirds of the pot while the other two players took one-sixth of the pot.

Bohlman Put in Blender

Niveau 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

The under-the-gun player opened to 800 and was called by Scott Bohlman from the big blind.

Bohlman check-called a bet of 1,200 on the {j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop before leading for 500 oon the {6-Hearts} turn. His opponent called.

Bohlman then bet 5,000 on the {a-Diamonds} river. The under-the-gun player then waited for 20-seconds before announcing "pot," (20,500).

Bohlman went deep into the tank and appeared uncomfortable in the situation he was in. He eventually called and the players tabled their cards.

The under-the-gun player tabled {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for a full house and an eight-six low. Bohlman couldn't beat his full house but took the low with his {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}.
