Garrett Takes A Bad Start

Brad Garrett

Actor and comedian Brad Garrett was in the small blind when action was caught with three players. There was about 6,000 in the middle and Garrett bet 3,500 on a {j-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop. Just after him in the big blind, Fernando Wittvivan called and the last player folded.

The {a-Diamonds} was checked by both players, but when a {q-Diamonds} completed the board, Garrett bet 5,000. Without any hesitation, the Brazilian raised to 25,000. Garrett snap-folded and Wittvivan took that pot. Garrett already has lost half of his stack in this first level.

Action was caught on a {j-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop, with three players in the hand. From the big blind, Daniel Daconti checked to a player in middle position who bet 2,000. Tony Miles raised it to 5,400 and only Daconti called.

On a {6-Diamonds} turn, no more action, both players checked to the {5-Spades} river. Daconti checked again, Miles bet 13,000 and Daconti quickly folded.

"I just sat down in this tournament", said Miles, before counting his stack. The former WSOP 2018 Runner-up Main Event is looking for his third cash this summer on the Series.

Alex Foxen

In the middle of that blue section, a player already has more than ten starting stacks, about 420,000 chips. Tyendel West was sat down between two great players, Alex Foxen and Laurent Polito, but he decided to send one of them home.

West said to Pokernews that after a limp from Foxen, first to act, he raised to 4,500 and Foxen called. Then both players checked a {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop, before West led for 7,500 on the {j-} turn. Foxen called then check-raised on a {k-} river, from 14,000 to around 40,000.

After a while, West finally called with {k-}{j-} for two-pair and Foxen showed {a-}{10-}. He was eliminated, while West is totally cruising now.

Bad Timing for Tice

Niveau 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Landon Tice
Landon Tice

Jean Gaspard limped in the small blind and Landon Tice checked his option.

The dealer spread a flop of {q-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Gaspard checked to Tice who bet one big blind, 3,000. Gaspard check-raised to 6,000 and Tice made the call.

The {q-Hearts} fell on the turn and Gaspard checked to Tice who pushed a single red chip into the middle for a bet of 5,000 and Gaspard called.

The {k-Hearts} completed the board and Gaspard checked for a final time. Tice pushed 25,000 across the line, leaving just 500 chips. Gaspard asked if he was all-in and Tice responded he was not.

Gaspard made the call and Tice quickly flashed his {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} before seeing Gaspards {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a full house.

Tice was left with 500 chips and was all in the following hand, winning that hand to turn his 500 into 4,500.

In late position, Steven Rohr opened to 8,000 and Joao Simao defended his big blind.

A {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop came, and both players checked, to the {7-Hearts} turn. Simao bet 12,000 and Rohr called, to see another {7-Diamonds} on the river.
