Justin Young raised to 4,000 from early position and found all sorts of action. Four players made the call, including Chris Brewer to his left, David Farber on the button, and Chance Kornuth in the big blind.
"No squeeze?" joked a couple of players. Indeed, there was not, and five players saw the 
flop.
Action checked all the way to Farber on the button who bet 8,000. The bet didn't get far, as Chance Kornuth put in the raise from the big blind to 21,500. The rest of the table folded, but Farber made the call.
On the 
turn, Kornuth bet again, once more to the tune of 21,500. Farber thought for a bit and made the call to head to a river in a swelling pot.
The 
rolled off on the river. Chance Kornuth took a few seconds assembling his chips then slid all 67,500 he had left into the middle.
Farber asked for a count while he stared at Kornuth. He eventually slammed a stack of chips into the middle.
Kornuth showed 
for the drilled gutterball that made the nuts on the river.
"Wow," the rest of the table shouted together. Kornuth smirked and shrugged while he dragged the massive pot.

John Brooks was heads up with Alex Livingston after the flop. The board showed

From early position, Brooks bet 3,500 into a pot of about 14,000. Livingston made the call on the button.
On the 
turn, Brooks check-raised to 35,000 after Livingston bet 4,000. Livingston tossed his cards into the muck and Brooks won the pot.

From the big blind, Carlos Chadha bet 15,000 into his opponent on the button, who made the call.
The river fell the 
and Chadha ramped up the pressure even more with a bet of 90,000 on the final street.
His opponent used a time extension as he thought through the hand, but eventually, let his cards go.

Freddy Deeb raised to 3,500 from under the gun and Joe McKeehen called from late position before a player in the big blind came along.
The flop was 
and both players checked to McKeehen. The 2015 Main Event champion fired 6,500 and both players tossed their hands in the muck to give up the pot.
Meanwhile, David Peters and 2009 Main Event champion Joe Cada have been seen in the room during the second level of the day.

Bill Klein raised to 3,500 from early position and Sean Winter three-bet to 18,000 from the big blind. Klein counted out 55,000 and tossed a small stack in the middle, but it was too rich for Winter and he threw his hand in the muck without seeing a flop.
