Psallidas Takes Pot From Kassouf

Niveau 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Will Kassouf bet 2,000 from early position and was met with a raise to 6,400 from Constantinos Psallidas in the cutoff.

Kassouf asked "64? The year you were born?" Psallidas replied "Good guess! 1965." Kassouf made the call.

The flop of {6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} saw Psallidas bet 10,000. Kassouf started thinking out loud to the annoyance of one tablemate who called the clock after a minute.

The floor gave Kassouf 30 seconds to make a decision. With five seconds remaining Kassouf laid down his hand. Psallidas allowed Kassouf to pick one of his cards and revealed the {4-Hearts}.

Roach Gets a Knockout

Niveau 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With a preflop raise to 2,000 from under the gun, there was a shove for 8,000 from a player in early position and Steve Roach shoved over top for 16,3000. The original raiser folded and the two all in's flipped over their hands.

Steve Roach: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Opponent: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {3-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and with no hits for the opponents hand, Roach's sevens held to take down the pot and send his opponent to the rail.

McDermott's Turn Shove Takes it Down

Niveau 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

After an open from late position for 2,200, Tim McDermott three-bet to 6,500 from the hijack. Action folded back around to the original aggressor, who called.

The pair watched the {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs} hit the felt on the flop. McDermott continued, this time for 5,000. He earned another call.

On the {7-Hearts} turn, McDermott moved all in with 26,400 behind. This sent his opponent into the tank for a bit, before eventually laying it down to give McDermott the pot.

A few tables over, two time bracelet winner Chris Moorman was seen taking his seat.

Good Call for Kessler

Niveau 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Preflop action had a player in middle position raising to 2,000 and Allen Kessler calling from the hijack. The board came down {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and both players checked.

The {10-Clubs} on the turn had the middle position player betting another 2,000 and receiving a call from Kessler.

On the {4-Hearts} river, they both checked again and Kessler flipped over {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} giving him two pair, eights and tens, which was good to take down the pot as his opponent folded.

Dewald Doubles

Paul Dewald
Paul Dewald

The heads-up action was joined after 2015 WSOP.com Player of the Year Paul Dewald moved all in for 21,600 on the {3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} flop. His opponent thought for a minute, but eventually called to put Dewald at risk.

Paul Dewald: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Opponent: {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Dewald was ahead with his top pair and a favorite to score the double up, but his opponent had plenty of outs with an open-ended straight draw and backdoor flush draw. The {8-Clubs} turn took away the backdoor flush draw but gave her additional outs to a set or two pair. Luckily, the {5-Diamonds} river was not one of those outs, and he scooped the pot to double his stack.

Fleischmann Gets Paid with Straight

Niveau 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Action was joined with a complete board of {7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} on the felt and a bit over 30,000 in the pot.

Arthur Fleischmann fired for 22,500 from the cutoff, sending his opponent in the big blind deep into the tank. He eventually emerged with a reluctant call. Fleischmann quickly turned over {6-Spades}{7-Spades}, announcing "straight" as he did so. The big blind quietly pushed his hand into the muck, and the pot belonged to Fleischmann.
