Frakes Takes it Down on the Turn

Niveau 15 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Action was joined on the {8-Spades}{j-Spades}{6-Spades} flop with 20,000 in the pot and four players in the hand. Action checked to Steven "The Mover" Frakes in the cutoff who fired for 6,500. The small blind called while the big blind and under-the-gun players got out of the way.

On the {6-Diamonds} turn, Frakes asked the dealer to spread out the pot. She obliged, spreading out the pot that had now grown to 33,000. A few moments later, Frakes tossed in roughly a half pot bet to the tune of 15,500. The small blind quickly folded, and the pot went to Frakes.

Frakes is predominantly a high-stakes cash player, but has had quite the Summer. He has cashed in seven different WSOP bracelet events, including deep runs in Event #41: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Super Bounty (3rd - $87,047) and Event #57: $600 No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack (11th - $22,176).

Altar Scores Double Knockout

Niveau 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The cutoff was already all in when action was joined. There was around 90,000 in the main pot, and a flop of {q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

Eyyal Altar led out from under the gun for 35,000, getting a call from his opponent on the button. On the {2-Diamonds} turn, Altar moved all in as the big stack. His opponent thought briefly before making the call with the effective stack of around 150,000.

Cutoff: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Button: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Eyyal Altar: {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Altar had the best of it with his trip eights and over 97 percent equity. A queen on the river and the cutoff and button would chop, anything else and Altar would scoop the whole pot. The {6-Diamonds} hit the felt on the river, and Altar's trip eights were still best. He scooped the main and side pots, knocking out both of his opponents in the process.

Kraemer Gets Big Double

Niveau 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

With 170,000 in the middle, Mackenzie Kraemer in the small blind moved all in for 103,500. The cutoff made the call who only just covered Kraemer.

Kraemer turned over {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for two pair. The cutoff threw his hand into the muck and revealed he had pocket jacks. Kraemer is now double the average stack.

Wheeler Gets a Knockout

Niveau 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Jason Wheeler raised from under the gun and a player in middle position pushed all in for around 50,000. Action folded back around to Wheeler who called and the cards were up.

Jason Wheeler: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Opponent: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}

The flop came down {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} hitting a set for Wheeler right away but his opponent still had outs that would keep him in the game. The turn was a {k-Clubs} and the {6-Hearts} on the river gave Wheeler a boat. With nothing more to help his opponent, he was sent to the rail.

Lam Overbets River

Niveau 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

A late-position player and the small blind both limped before Vincent Lam checked his option from the big blind.

The three players checked through the {q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop leading to the {a-Hearts} turn. The small blind led out for 6,000 and got called by both players.

On the {5-Diamonds} river, the small blind checked before Lam barreled for 55,000, over the pot. The late-position player took a moment or two before folding, and the small blind quickly followed suit to give Lam the modest pot.
