River Jam Takes it for Resurreccion

Niveau 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Three players paid 900 a piece to see the {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop. Robert Resurreccion checked from under the gun to Andreas Kniep in early position. He fired for 1,800. The middle position player got out of the way while Resurreccion made the call.

On the {q-Diamonds} turn, Resurreccion checked called the continuation bet of 4,100 from Kniep, leading to the {2-Spades} river. Resurreccion again checked to Kniep, who fired his biggest barrel yet, worth 13,000. Resurreccion thought for a bit before moving all in, a raise to 43,000. This sent Kniep into the tank.

"hmm wow," Kniep said, perplexed by the jam, "short day for me." Kniep would be the player at risk if he were to call. Eventually, he made the laydown, giving Resurreccion the pot. Resurreccion flashed the {q-Spades}, giving him a full house, before raking in his winnings.

There was 62,500 in the middle on a completed board of {6-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and the under the gun player moved all in. Keith Pomonis in the cutoff appeared perplexed at the shove, but made the call for 34,500.

Keith Pomonis: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Under The Gun: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

"Oh thank god!" exclaimed Pomonis as their opponent revealed pocket kings as he genuinely feared quad tens from under the gun.

While Pomonis stacked their chips he took in a sharp intake of breath as adrenaline coursed through his body.

The details of this hand were provided to PokerNews by Tamas Lendvai

Several players limped to see the {4-}{6-}{10-Diamonds} rainbow flop. Action checked over to the late position player, who fired for 1,500. Lendvai called from the button and the two went heads-up to the turn.

The {q-Diamonds} hit on the turn. The opponent continued for 3,100 and Lendvai called again.

On the {7-Clubs} river, the opponent led out for 9,000. Lendvai raised to 25,000. The opponent three-bet shoved, putting Lendvai at risk to make the call. He did so, and the cards were on their backs.

Tamas Lendvai: {3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Opponent: {4-}{6-}

Lendvai had rivered the seven-high straight, enough to crack his opponent's two pair and scoop the pot, doubling his stack in the early goings. Lendvai is in pursuit of his second bracelet of the summer and his career. He topped the field in the $600 Deepstack event to capture his maiden bracelet.
