Chance Kornuth, who enjoyed a deep run in the WSOP Main Event last year, ultimately falling in 16th place, was involved in a hand from the cutoff against a player on the button. With the flop reading Kornuth checked and then called when his opponent bet 800.

Both players checked through the turn to the river. The button player appeared to think Kornuth had checked and reached for chips before realising the action was still on his opponent. Kornuth decided to fire off a large overbet of 6,800. The button player went into the tank but did eventually find a fold to send the small pot Kornuth's direction.
