Grospellier Chops With Boat

Niveau 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Bertrand Grospellier opened to 600 from the hijack, the button called, and the small blind called.

The dealer fanned the {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop, the small blind checked, and Grospellier bet 1,100. Both opponents continued.

The {j-Clubs} fell on the turn, the small blind checked, and Grospellier bet 3,500. The button folded and the small blind continued.

The {k-Diamonds} completed the board, the small blind checked, and Grospellier bet 16,000. His opponent jammed for not too much more, and Grospellier called.

Grospellier tabled {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}, while his opponent revealed {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}, and the duo chopped the anticlimactic pot with the same rivered boat.

Graff "Almost Ties" With Deeb

Niveau 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Duane Graff had opened from middle position before Freddy Deeb three-bet to 3,200 from the small blind. Graff made the call.

The flop was {7-Hearts}{a-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Deeb continued for 3,000. Graff made the call.

On the {j-Spades} turn, Deeb bet 3,500, Graff called again.

Both players checked the {3-Spades} river. Graff showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} for top pair and the winner.

"We almost tied," said Deeb. "I had ace-queen."

Abernathy Hits the Last Jack

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante
Sam Abernathy
Sam Abernathy

Sam Abernathy was heads-up on a flop of {j-Spades}{3-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and bet 6,400 from the small blind. Her opponent called on the button and they saw the {10-Spades} fall on the turn.

Abernathy checked this time and the button flicked in 15,000. Abernathy re-checked her cards one last time before moving all in for 27,000, with her opponent snap-calling.

Abernathy showed {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for a full house as her opponent was already drawing dead with {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. The meaningless river was the {5-Diamonds} and she doubled up.

Afterward, a tablemate said he folded king-jack of hearts, meaning Abernathy had hit a one-outer on the flop.

Yokosawa Folds to Gale's Aces

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

A player limped in from early position and Masato Yokosawa raised to 1,300 in middle position. Lee Gale then raised to 3,700 in the cutoff, and action folded back to Yokosawa who called.

The dealer spread the {q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop and Yokosawa check-called for 4,200.

The {2-Spades} landed on the turn, Yokosawa checked, and Gale moved all in. Yokosawa had a decision for his remaining stack of roughly 18,000 and smiled while he looked at the board and shuffled chips. After a minute or two, the popular Japanese poker vlogger sent his cards into the muck to survive for another hand, as Gale revealed his {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} while he collected the pot.

Altman Picks One Off to Chip Back Up

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Brian Altman was down to below half starting stack before the break but has since moved back up some, thanks in large part to a hand that just happened.

Altman was facing an early position river bet of 11,000 into a pot of about 17,000 when the board was wet-looking, {q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}. He took his time and gave his opponent his renowned intense stare before calling.

His opponent tabled the {a-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Altman showed the winner with the {k-Spades}{9-Spades}.
