Smith Gets There

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

The board was {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Dylan Smith was in the early position when he checked to his opponent in the cutoff. The cutoff player bet 7,000 but then Smith check-raised to 18,000. After a few seconds the cutoff called.

The river was the {10-Spades} and Smith took some time before he checked, but then his opponent checked back and Smith tabled {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a rivered top pair. His opponent looked stunned as he stared at Smith's cards then back at his own and then the board just trying to figure it all out.

"Yeah he wins," he said as he threw his cards into the muck, talking to himself about how he should have shoved the turn.

"Yeah I thought about value betting the river," Smith told him.

"You should have, I was calling" his opponent replied.

Cynn Scores Big With Ladies

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

John Cynn opened to 1,100 from late position and faced a three-bet to 5,000 from a player in the cutoff. After thinking for some time, Cynn just called.

On a flop of {4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} Cynn checked to the three-bettor, who continued for 4,000. Cynn made the call to send the two players to the turn.

Action checked through the {8-Clubs} turn to the {9-Hearts} river where Cynn took over the betting lead, tossing 9,500 into the middle. His opponent went into the tank and emerged having decided on a call. Cynn turned over {q-Clubs}{q-Spades} for the overpair, good enough to scoop a sizable pot.

Botfeld Drops Ball Shorter

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Scott Ball re-raised to 3,500 from middle position and Amanda Botfeld, sitting directly to his right, called to see the {j-Spades}{a-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop.

Botfeld checked to Ball, who continued with a bet of 1,300. Botfeld again called and both players checked the {6-Spades} turn.

Botfeld led out for 6,000 on the {4-Clubs} river and Ball, with around 20,000 behind, quickly mucked.

Lim's Boat Stronger Than Bullets

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

A player was standing up and getting ready to leave his table as it appeared as though he had called a river shove with a board reading {10-}{k-}{10-}{7-}{5-}. His {a-}{a-} was showing as the hand that had lead to his demise.

Hyun Woo Lim had the {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for the boat and the player holding aces could only walk away with his very short main event ride ended.

Corbin Reaches Six Digits, Arieh Eliminated

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Nate Corbin opened with a raise from early position and found three callers, including Harry Kazazian on the button and Josh Arieh from the big blind. Arieh was all in as his chips had been brought low after a recent hand.

The flop was {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Corbin continued for 2,500, both Kazazian and the player in the small blind called.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds}. Corbin fired a second bullet for 6,000. Kazazian called, the small blind got out of the way.

The {6-Hearts} hit the river. Corbin thought for a bit before betting 11,000, nearly putting Kazazian all in. Arieh stood up to put his backpack on. After about a minute, Kazazian folded.

Nate Corbin: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Josh Arieh: {6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

"I folded ace-jack," said Kazazian, keeping his tournament alive.

Arieh couldn't get anything going today but was still gracious as he left the table.

"Good luck, gentlemen," said Arieh as he headed to the door.

Trevino Cracks Aces on the River

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Cedrric Trevino was facing a raise of 6,400 before he put in a re-raise. His opponent, with around 18,000 behind, hesitated a moment before calling.

Trevino showed {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, but his opponent turned over {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. "Why are you frowning if you have aces," Trevino asked.

The {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop nor the {5-Clubs} turn were any help to Trevino as he prepared to hand over a double up, but the {k-Clubs} spiked on the river to deliver the knockout.

Jaraiz Rivers a Flush

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Action was picked up with a board of {a-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades} on the table and around 22,000 already in the pot.

Jose Jaraiz led out for 15,000 from the small blind. After a few minutes of deliberation, Clayton Kalisek, the big blind, made the call, using a majority of his chips to do so. Mark Davis got out of the way and it was time for a showdown.

Jaraiz turned over {10-Spades}{7-Spades}, good for a flush on the river, and Kalisek tossed his cards into the muck a few moments later.
