Gandikota Has Diaz Tanking and Laughing

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

The player in the cutoff raised to 3,500 as Suhaag Gandikota and Guillaume Diaz came along from the blinds. Diaz bet out 5,500 on the {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop and only Gandikota called.

The turn was the {10-Spades} and Diaz bet another 8,000. Gandikota came back with a raise to 20,000, and the French pro called. On the {j-Spades} river, Gandikota fired out 28,000.

Diaz burst out laughing as he and Gandikota discussed the hand. "There's four queens," Gandikota said.

"There's four jacks as well, but one of them is in the middle and I have one," Diaz replied.

Diaz went into the tank for nearly five minutes before the clock was called. As the countdown reached zero, he reluctantly stuck in the chips to call.

Gandikota showed {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the straight and Diaz mucked, dropping down to less than 10,000 while Gandikota surged over 250,000.

Kuo Folds to Donovan

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

With nearly 20,000 in the pot on a {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} board, Zachary Donovan bet 6,200 in the big blind, and Kitty Kuo called on the button.

The {5-Diamonds} completed the board and Donovan bet approximately 9,300. Kuo thought about her decision, but ultimately sent the cards into the muck to concede the pot.

Loeliger and Ashkenazi Duke it Out in Intense Checkdown

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Yotam Ashkenazi raised to 1,500 from under-the-gun, but was immediately three-bet by Paulina Loeliger aka "Poker Bunny" to 4,500. After action folded back around to him, Ashkenazi made the call.

The flop was {6-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{j-Spades} and Ashkenazi checked to Loeliger who checked back.

On the turn {8-Clubs} Ashkenazi thought for a second before checking once more to Loeliger, who did the same.

Then the river brought the {7-Spades} and both players again checked.

"Ace-high good," someone from the table announced.

Both Loeliger and Ashkenazi sheepishily turned over {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} and {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} to chop the pot.

Lotti, Club GG Qualifier, Sniffs Out the Bluff

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante
Romain Lotti
Romain Lotti

There was about 7,000 in on the {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds} river when Romain Lotti bet 5,000.

His opponent in the cutoff took some time before raising to 11,000 and Lotti tanked.

After about a minute, Lotti seemed to begrudgingly toss in a call, as if to say, "If you got it, you got it."

The cutoff showed {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades} queen-high and Lotti turned over {j-Spades}{10-Clubs} for jacks and tens, and the winner.

Lotti qualified for this tournament through Club GG. Learn more about ClubGG here

Lisichkina Not Hurt Too Badly By Aces

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Action was on the turn as the board read {7-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}. From the button, Porya Mostaghimi bet 3,000 into a pot of about 7,500. Yulia Lisichkina called.

The river came the {5-Spades}. Lisichkina led for 10,000 and Mostaghimi called.

Lisichkina confidently tabled the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} but she was surprised to see the {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} of Mostaghimi as she raised her eyebrows a bit and slid the relatively small amount of chips to her left.

Top-Top No Good For Deeb

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante
Freddy Deeb
Freddy Deeb

On a board reading {9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} a player in early position had all of his chips in the middle as did a player in late position. Freddy Deeb in the small blind, who still had a significant stack behind, had called. The late position player held {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} while Deeb had {a-Spades}{j-Spades} for top pair top kicker. It was no good, however, as the early position player turned over {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for the flopped set that had filled up on the turn.

"Nice hand, very nice hand," said Deeb as he pushed a small pile of chips towards the at risk player, who had effectively tripled-up. Deeb took only a fairly minor hit to his stack and still has plenty of playability as the day nears its close.

Bednar Folds to River Raise

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

On a completed board of {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} with roughly 10,000 in the pot, Jan Bednar bet 6,500 in middle position, and the player on the button raised to 25,000.

Bednar contemplated for a while, before eventually letting his hand go, although the Czech player has still accrued a sizable stack so far today.
