Crawton Correctly Folds Top Set

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Action was picked up on a flop showing the {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} with a pot of 5,200 in the middle. Daniel Barber was in the big blind and led for 4,500 which Matthew Crawton decided to call, under the gun.

The turn was the {q-Hearts}. Barber check-called a bet of 8,500.

The river came the {5-Clubs} to put four to a straight on the board. Barber led with a near pot-size bet of 30,000. Crawton put his head in his hands and looked in pain. After over a minute he folded {q-}{q-} face up. Barber gave Crawton a bit of a morale boost by showing him the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the flopped nut straight to assure him he made the correct laydown.

Kim Flops Full

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

After a raise to 2,100 preflop, Eungkwan Kim and his opponent saw a flop of {2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and both players checked.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and both players checked once more.

But on the {5-Diamonds} river, Kim blasts away for 11,000 and his opponent snap-called and showed {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, but one pair was no match for Kim's {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for a flopped full house.

"Wow nice hand, I thought for sure you had ace-king," his opponent was stunned.

The middle position player checked on a flop of {3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Cynn continued for 600. His opponent called.

Both players checked through the {10-Spades} turn to the {3-Spades} river where the middle position player bet out 2,100. Cynn made the call and turned over {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} to take down another pot.

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Four players, including Tian Zhao Jiang and 2019 Main Event tenth-place finisher Robert Heidorn, put in around 2,500 before the flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}.

Everyone checked through to the {q-Diamonds} turn when Heidorn, from the hijack, bet 5,200. The player on the button called before Jiang, acting from under the gun, tossed out a raise of 18,000.

Remitio Takes Down a Pot, But No Song

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Josh Remitio finished in fourth place at last year's Main Event with one of the most boisterous and colorful rails the tournament has seen. He's back in action this year on Day 1a and just took down a pot with a big river call.

On a flop of {q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, Remitio called a bet of 2,000 from middle position as two other opponents got out of the way. The turn came the {8-Clubs} and this time Remitio did the betting, putting out 2,500.

His under-the-gun opponent called before the {a-Hearts} fell on the river. The under-the-gun player then led out for 3,500 and Remitio went into the tank for about a minute before calling.

His opponent showed {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, but Remitio turned over {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a pair of queens. He took down the pot, although there was no rail to burst out in song this time.
