Brady Calls Oya's Hand

Niveau 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

With around 10,000 already in the pot, action was joined on the river with {q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs} on the felt. Masashi Oya fired for 7,500 from middle position, sending Mike Brady into the tank.

While considering his decision, Brady posited "Pocket sixes?" to Oya, but received no answer. After a few minutes, Brady announced call.

Oya turned over {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, the exact hand Brady had put him on. Brady had evidently made the call in spite of rather than because of that read, as he could not beat Oya's set, and he mucked his hand.

Leo Margets

It folded around to Leo Margets who called from the small blind. Erik Seidel would check his option.

The flop came {6-Spades}{a-Spades}{a-Hearts} and both players tapped the table.

The {a-Diamonds} came on the turn and Margets flicked in a yellow chip worth 1,000. Seidel snap-folded.

Margets would turn over the {a-Clubs} showing she had turned quads and everyone, including Seidel, had a nice laugh.

A large pot was being contested in a heads-up pot on the river. Yutong Wu had bet 7,000 from the hijack, but Simon Burns had other plans on the button.

Burns moved all in, an effective bet of about 35,000 as he had Wu well covered. She went deep into the tank. After about three minutes of thinking, she let her cards go and preserved her tournament life for another battle.

World Series of Poker Reveals 2022-23 Circuit Schedule; Season 18 Kicks off July 20

Niveau 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
WSOP Circuit
WSOP Circuit

The schedule for the 18th season of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit was released on Wednesday and is comprised of 25 stops with 10 additional stops expected to be announced in the future. The new season will kick off immediately after the 2020 WSOP with a stop at Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma from July 20-31.

“The World Series of Poker is back with the Circuit returning in just short of a month,” said WSOP Senior Vice President and Executive Director Ty Stewart. “With record-breaking attendance so far this summer, we expect a huge response to the full-scale return of our regional mid-stakes tour.”

Most WSOP Circuit stops will begin on Thursdays, with the four-day Main Events beginning on the second Friday of the tournament. Each stop is encouraged to add Seniors and Ladies events, where the winners will qualify to participate in the “Tournament of Champions” in Las Vegas. Each stop will offer at least a dozen official gold ring events starting as low as $250 with a capstone $1,700 buy-in Main Event.

Additionally, there will be monthly online circuit events scheduled for players on WSOP.com.

The prestigious $1 million freeroll will return featuring a similar format as the 2021-22 season. Beginning with the Choctaw Circuit Event, any official gold ring winners from either the live or online circuit events through May 2023, will qualify for the invitation-only “Tournament of Champions” event during the 2023 WSOP tournament in Las Vegas.

Lam Turns Jack to Crack Aces

Niveau 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Action came in on the turn with the board reading {8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and a pot of 14,500. Aaron Lam was under the gun and raised a bet of 6,500 from his middle position opponent to 33,500.

His opponent did not have much more than that behind and tried talking to Lam to get him to reveal any info. He complemented Lam's watch as Lam's arm rested on the table motionless. He tried multiple times "Hey, hey buddy. Will you show me if I fold? Hey!" he repeated a few times.

Lam did not budge or say anything. Eventually his opponent tossed in the rest of his chips which was a few thousand more which Lam called. The all in player showed the {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}, which Lam had crushed with the {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}.

The river was the {10-Diamonds} and Lam gathered his opponent's chips who walked away empty handed.

Foxen Gone

A player in the cutoff opened to 1,000 and was called by the button as well as Kristen Foxen out of the big blind.

On a flop of {6-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} Foxen moved all in for her last 2,800. "Please don't let me bust, I would be so sad if I busted," Foxen said to her two opponents. The cutoff did in fact call while the button folded to put Foxen at risk.

Kristen Foxen: {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Cutoff Player: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Foxen immediately tabled her holding but the cutoff player took his time turning his cards over, much to the frustration of Foxen, who commented "just show your hand, you're gonna have to show it anyway". In any event, Foxen was well behind and was left drawing to just two outs following the {5-Hearts} turn. She found no further help on the {10-Spades} river, sending her to the rail prior to the dinner break.

Kollar Gets Paid After Hitting Flush on the River

Niveau 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

With a very large pot already brewing on a {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} board, the hijack bet 16,500 and Forrest Kollar called from early position.

On the {3-Diamonds} river, Kollar decided to bet first, firing for 25,000. The hijack visibly wasn't thrilled yet fiddled with his sole green chip before tossing it in.

Kollar showed {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for the made flush while his opponent looked at his {a-Spades}{8-Hearts} with despair before tabling it.

Giannetti Put to the Test

Matt Giannetti

There was already about 25,000 in the pot on the {4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{a-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} river and Matt Giannetti was facing a bet of 16,000.

Giannetti only had about 23,000 behind so he was deep in the tank for most of his remaining stack.

After a few minutes, Giannetti called only to see the bad news as his opponent tabled {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} a set of sevens.

Giannetti was left with just about 7,000 in chips.
