Dolan Profits In Bizarre Hand

Niveau 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Raymond Dolan from under the gun bet 800 and was called by an early position player and Scotter Clark in the big blind.

Dolan continued on the flop of {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for 1,700. The early position made the call and Clark folded. The {4-Hearts} landed on the turn and Dolan bet 2,900. Early position quickly called.

The {6-Diamonds} came on the river for a third diamond and paired the board. Dolan bet 8,100 and was verbally snap-called by his opponent.

Dolan revealed {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} for two pair and early position tabled {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and grabbed Dolan's bet and added it to their stack believing that they made the flush.

Clark told the player that there is no flush there and he needed to put the bet back. The early position player was stunned with their hands clasping their head muttering "No! God no!" before taking a closer look at the runout.

The early position player eventually put two 5,000 chips into the middle to pay Dolan's bet but still looked in disbelief. On the next hand they folded straight away and walked away from the table to let off some steam.

Laak Makes Right Call

Niveau 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Action was picked up with a complete board of {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{q-Spades}{a-Diamonds} on the table and a modest pot.

Phil Laak, in the cutoff, was facing a bet of 2,700 from late position. He went into the tank for a minute or two, before emerging with a call. His opponent showed {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for bottom pair, before Laak turned over {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} for a pair of jacks, enough to take the pot.

Soto Scores Massive Pot

Christian Soto
Christian Soto

The action was relayed by the table after the fact. The cutoff opened to 800 and popular host of the "Only Friends" poker podcast Christian Soto three-bet to 2,500. It folded to the big blind who four-bet to 6,000 and only Soto made the call.

On the flop of {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} the big blind led for 7,800 and Soto raised to 15,000. The big blind player elected on a shove for roughly 40,000 and Soto quickly called.

Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Christian Soto: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Soto flopped the world with trip nines and had his opponent drawing almost dead. The turn came the {9-Hearts} sealing the deal with quad nines and the inconsequential {4-Spades} hit the river. Soto is off to a great start with nearly a six-figure stack in only level two.

Marini's Aces Crush Ma's Cowboys

Niveau 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

A player in the hijack opened for 600. Anthony Marini three-bet the button before Stephen Ma four-bet to 12,200 from the big blind.

Action folded back to Marini who five-bet to 32,200, sending Ma deep into the tank. Ma had Marini covered, but just barely with about 65,000 behind. He decided to call for the 20,000 more.

The dealer laid out the {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop and Ma checked to Marini, who moved all in for 39,000. Ma called quickly, but wasn't thrilled, especially after seeing the cards.

Anthony Marini: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Stephen Ma: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Ma couldn't escape the nightmare scenario when the {10-Diamonds} and {10-Spades} completed the board to secure the full double for Marini and leave Ma with less than 5,000.

Ma recovered some the next hand when he got it all in with pocket jacks against ace-ten suited and held to double up his new short stack.

Eelkema Shoves River, Up to 86,000

Niveau 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

With a huge pot of well over 40,000 in the middle on the {6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts} board, Eric Eelkema shoved all in for about 41,500 from the hijack.

The small blind thought for a few seconds before making the laydown.

Elsewhere, Bill Klein has already added 50% to his starting stack and is sitting on a hair less than 90,000.
