Avec les enregistrements tardifs disponibles durant les 4 premières heures de jeu du Jour 2, le record d'affluence pour un Main Event WSOP a paru dans le viseur jusqu'au bout dans la nuit de vendredi à samedi. La marque de 2006 tient toujours (8 773 entrants) mais avec une affluence à 8 663 joueurs le vainqueur de la 53e édition du Main Event à 10 000$ remporter 10 millions de dollars !
Les 8 663 joueurs de l'édition 2022 se partageront 80 782 475$. Pour cela il faudra se glisser dans le Top 1300 joueurs avec un min-cash à 15 000$. Pour arriver à ces chiffres énormes, ce sont finalement 454 joueurs qui ont buy-in in-extremis !
Ils étaient finalement 3 749 sur la ligne de départ du Jour 2D et c'est Muhammad Abdel-Rahim qui a emballé 936,500 pour dominer le 2D. Avec un demi-million de dollars de gains en carrière, Abdel-Rahim a de l'expérience puisqu'il a déjà fait une finale WSOP (4e lors du premier sacre de David Peters, ndlr)

Dans la tourmente côté triche, Bryn Kenney a emballé 665,000 pendant que Justin Bonomo le dépassait à la All Time Money List en faisant l'argent à l'ARIA.
Le tenant du titre Koray Aldemir aura lui aussi plus de 100 blindes pour le Jour 3 avec 255,000 jetons. Il a précisé qu'il n'avait pas été reconnu par tout le monde durant la journée...
