Marcoullier Makes Everything

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

A completed board of {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} was spread across the felt with around 65,000 in the middle already. Raymond Ross and David Marcoullier were heads-up in what turned into be a relatively large pot in the opening level.

Ross checked to Marcoullier who threw in a bet of 48,000. "Wow, I can beat ace-king," Ross pointed out before making the call. Marcoullier turned over {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} which was actually a rivered flush and Ross was forced to send his cards to the muck.

Set Over Set For Pinkham

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Action was joined on the river as the board read {7-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Rodney Pinkham had moved all in to force Omar Ali to put his remaining chips in the middle.

Ali thought for a while before calling and as he did so he stood up at the same time as if expecting what was to come and he was correct as Pinkham showed the {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for a set of jacks which crushed the {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} set of Ali.

Finkel Puts Big Stack to Work

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Action started in the river with about 35,000 in the pot. Athir Saco looked at a board of {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{a-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Fighting for the large pot, he bet 15,000.

He was up against the table big stack, David Finkel, who had position on him. Finkel slide in a stack of 5,000 chips, enough to cover Saco, about 75,000 effective.

Saco went into the tank for about a minute, eventually relinquishing his cards, showing the {a-Diamonds} face up.

Dombrowski Doubles

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

After Isreal Tovar opened to 4,500, Chris Dombrowski back-raised all in for 18,000 and Tovar called, putting Dombrowski at risk.

Chris Dombrowski: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Israel Tovar: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Heavily dominated, Tovar was left mainly to king outs, but the flop of {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} was not good for him as it improved Dombrowski to a pair of aces. However, Tover could hit a ten for a straight.

Fortunately for Dombrowski, the {8-Spades}{j-Spades} completed the board to award him the pot for an early double up.

MacKinnon Finds a Lucky Double

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

DJ MacKinnon was down to just 8,200 chips and the action folded to him in the cutoff. MacKinnon ripped all in and was quickly called by Jeffrey Fuhr in the big blind.

DJ MacKinnon: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Jeffrey Fuhr: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Despite being dominated, MacKinnon took the lead on the {j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop with a pair of jacks. The {k-Diamonds} on the turn gave Fuhr a straight draw but the {4-Clubs} on the river was a brick.
