Roller Coaster Board for Sajwan

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Jaideep Sajwan, who told to his table when the day started that he wouldn't play a single hand in the first hour, opened in the cutoff to 1,800 right when the clock showed 59 minutes left on the level.

The button three-bet to 5,500 and it folded back to Sajwan who four-bet to 15,000. His opponent went deep into the tank and announced all in, which Sajwan snap-called for a total stack worth 75,800:

Jaideep Sajwan: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Button: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Sajwan seemed in great shape for the double up but the flop fanned {q-Spades}{4-Spades}{k-Hearts}, giving a set to his opponent. The {j-Hearts} turn didn't change anything but a miracle {a-Spades} showed up on the river for Sajwan to give him a set of aces and the needed double up.

The pot was already around 14,200 with the board having run out {10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and Joffrey Lhote, in the big blind, bet 8,200 into Jessica Teusl.

Teusl, who recently won her first bracelet in the Ladies event, pondered for over 90 seconds before finally tossing her hand into the muck.

Teusl will have to spin it up here on Day 2d as she is now down to just 14,200 chips.

Liebert Off to Tough Start on Day 2D

Kathy Liebert
Kathy Liebert

With 18,000 already in the middle on a {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs} board, Kathy Liebert put in a bet of 10,000 from early position. David Hengen, in middle position, soon fired in a raise of 30,100.

Liebert deliberated for about a minute before begrudgingly tossing her cards into the muck.

Despite starting Day 2d with 135,000 in chips, Liebert has seen her stack dwindle to 43,000 here in the first level.

Langsweirdt Sees all the Chips and Gets After Them

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

David Fisher opened to 1,800 from the cutoff, as the short stack, the three players left to act all had him covered.

First, Chris Moneymaker made the call on the button. Next, Klas Krueger called from the small blind. Then came Lucas Langsweirdt in the big blind.

He asked Fisher, "How much do you have?" before putting in the three-bet to 8,500.

One by one, each of his opponents let their cards go.

"Were we flipping or did you have me crushed?" asked Fisher.

"What did you have?" replied Langsweirdt.

"Sixes," replied Fisher.

"Crushed," said Langsweirdt.

Schiavone Rivers a Flush

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Damian Salas raised it up on the button and was called by Jorge Deoliveiralopez and Christopher Schiavone in the blinds. The flop came {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and the blinds checked to Salas who continued with a bet of 2,700. Both Deoliveiralopez and Schiavone called to see the {a-Hearts} on the turn.

The action checked around this time and the {8-Diamonds} completed the board. Schiavone threw in a bet of 5,300 from the big blind which got Salas to quickly fold. Deoliveiralopez called and Schiavone showed {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a rivered flush to win the pot.

Sherman Shows Kings

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

The flop showed {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{q-Spades} in a heads-up pot when Robert Sherman checked in the small blind to Pedro Llanes who made a continuation bet worth 3,500, which Sherman called.

The {7-Hearts} turn went check-check and a {6-Diamonds} was revealed on the river. Sherman bet 6,000 this time and Llanes quickly called but only to muck his cards when he saw {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} in Sherman's hand.
