Aces vs. Ace-King on the Feature Table

Niveau 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Damian Salas
Damian Salas

Back on the Main Feature Table, Fernando Viana Da Costa raised to 30,000 with {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Thu Nguyen found himself with another premium hand in. the form of the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and made it 85,000. 2020 WSOP Main Event Champion Damian Salas then woke up with {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} and four-bet 205,000.

Da Costa folded in early position while Nguyen put in the call from the hijack.

The {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop kept the aces in front and Salas bet 125,000 when checked to. Nguyen did not hesitate to call.

Nguyen paired his king on the {k-Hearts} turn and checked. Salas then checked back. Nguyen led for 275,000 on the {4-Spades} river and Salas quickly called with the winning hand.

Shortly after Zilong Zhang doubled up Dan Smith, the two found themselves in another pot on a board of {8-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} with around 300,000 in the middle. Zhang fired a bet of 215,000 and Smith folded.

"Want to see it?" asked Zhang.

"Sure," Smith replied, prompting Zhang to table {k-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a presumed bluff with king-high.

Albert Hoekendijk was all-in and at risk on the secondary feature table. He had the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and was up against the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} held by Wilson Luong.

The {q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop kept the pocket tens in front and the Dutchman picked up the pot.

Niveau 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Ramon Colillas opened to 30,000 on the button and both blinds called.

The trio checked to the river on the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Clubs} board, and the small blind bet 40,000. The big blind folded, and Colillas raised to 180,000, causing his opponent to quickly let go of his hand and concede the pot to the Spaniard.

Wien Bounces Back After Losing Half His Stack

Niveau 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Jeremy Wien
Jeremy Wien

With the pot already around 255,000 on an {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop, Jeremy Wien checked over to the button, who put in a bet of 85,000. Wien, from the hijack, then put in a raise of 205,000 which had the button sucking through his teeth. After a couple of seconds, he eventually folded.

Wien, who has recently lost half his stack getting all in and holding {j-Diamonds}{j-} on an eight-high diamond board against {a-}{k-Diamonds}, with an {a-} hitting, is now back up close to a million.

Aldemir Breaks 1 Million

Koray Aldemir
Koray Aldemir

Robert Koellner opened to 35,000 with {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} from the cutoff and was called by reigning WSOP Main Event Champion Koray Aldemir and Yao Yin from the blinds.

Aldemir held the {k-Spades}{10-Hearts} and checked his top pair on the {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop. Yin bet 75,000 with his {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Koellner got out of the way. Aldemir called.

Aldemir checked again and Yin immediately moved all in as the covering stack on the {7-Hearts} turn. Aldemir, with 415,000 behind, made the call after taking some moments to think over his options.

The {6-Spades} river was safe for the German and brought his stack to over 1,000,000.

Bhojani Polarizes, Gets the Full Double

Niveau 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

The action was caught on the river in a heads-up pot. Imran Bhojani was looking at a board of {2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

There was about 400,000 in the pot and Bhojani led from out of position for 700,000, every chip in his stack. His opponent thought for quite some time before making the call.

Bhojani showed {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the flush. His opponent was not forced to show his cards, but the table presumed among themselves that he had a straight.

Momentum with Aldemir

Koray Aldemir

Wilson Luong opened to 35,000 with his {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} before Robert Koellner peaked down at his {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}. He jammed for 260,000 from middle position. Koray Aldemir, who had just doubled up, was on the button and was in possession of a pair of aces. He shipped in his stack and Luong wasted little time folding.

Koellner brought in some immediate outs followinig the {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop and added some chop outs on the {4-Clubs} turn. However, Aldemir made aces up on the {4-Hearts} river and added more chips to his growing stack.

Riddle Doubles Up; Leaves the Room Anyway

Niveau 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Michael Riddle got his last 115,000 in from the small blind and found a customer in the big blind in John Sascha.

Michael Riddle: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
John Sascha: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Riddle was in good shape to double up, and after the board ran out {2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{k-Clubs}, he would be able to stay in his seat at the table.

However instead of staying to stack his chips, Riddle bolted for the doors, garnering a look of confusion and questions from his tablemates about why he left.

"He went to the bathroom," said one tablemate.

"Yah, he pissed himself with excitement," joked Stevan Chew, to the laughter of the rest of the table.
