The Norwegian Reaching New Peaks

Niveau 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Espen Jorstad
Espen Jorstad

Braxton Dunaway raised it up from under the gun and Espen Jorstad re-raised from a couple of seats over. The action folded back to Dunaway who called to see a flop of {q-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}.

Dunaway checked to Jorstad who continued with a bet of 100,000. Dunaway check-raised to 275,000 and Jorstad called to see the {k-Spades} on the turn. With four spades on the board the action halted as both players checked to the {6-Diamonds} on the river.

Two more checks and Dunaway turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} but it was no good against the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} of Jorstad.

Troha called and Demersseman tabled his {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. Troha mucked and a tablemate congratulated Demersseman as he scooped in the pot.

Karim Rebei
Karim Rebei

With roughly 200,000 in the pot on a {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} board, Alejandro Lococo bet 130,000 in early position, and Karim Rebei called in the hijack.

The {a-Spades} landed on the river and Lococo moved out a bet of 520,000. Rebei thought for some time before "Papo MC" called the clock. After the clock procedure began, Rebei moved in a large stack of chips for a raise, and Lococo snap-folded.

Rebei revealed {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} as he added the chips to his stack and moved up to nearly 8 million chips.

Jordison's Check-Raise Gets Through

Niveau 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Gilbert Cruz raised it up from the cutoff and was called by Rudy Cervantes and Angela Jordison in the blinds. The flop fell {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{5-Clubs} and the blinds checked to Cruz who bet 150,000.

Cervantes called only to have Jordison check-raise to 460,000. Cruz went into the tank for a couple of minutes as he struggled to finally dispose of his cards. Cervantes quickly folded and Jordison raked in the pot.

"You can breathe," Cruz said to Jordison.

"I mean, I wasn't folding," Jordison responded with a shrug.

Engel Scoops Massive Double With Aces

Ari Engel
Ari Engel

In a four-bet pot, Ari Engel continued for 500,000 into a pot of approximately 1,200,000 on a {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop and he was shoved on by Kyle Collins.

Engel took his time with Collins growing increasingly restless. So much so that at times it looked like he was the one wrestling with the all-in decision.

Eventually, Engel called tabling {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}. Collins showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} with the aces holding on the {2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} runout.

Dominic Choma
Dominic Choma

Mayank Madan opened to 80,000 from middle position and was three-bet to 225,000 by Dominic Choma in the cutoff. Seth Berger then moved all in for his last 485,000 out of the small blind. Madan opted to re-raise to 1,400,000 and Choma called to create a large sidepot heading to the flop.

Madan moved a stack of chips into the middle following the {k-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop and Choma immediately folded.

Seth Berger: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Mayank Madan: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

Madan had already scooped the sidepot and was in a very good spot to take down the main one as well. The {5-Clubs} turn kept him ahead with the {a-Spades} river improving him to two pair and sending Berger to the rail.
