Wells Risks It All

Niveau 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Feature Table C

Picking up the action on one of the outer feature tables, the board read {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}. Shelby Wells checked to Karim Rebei who made a bet of 400,000 into a pot of around 650,000. Wells check-raised all in for 1,575,000 and sat motionlessly.

Rebei asked for a count and mulled it over fora few minutes but eventually opted to lay his hand down.

"I felt pretty comfortable," Wells mentioned after the hand.

Gostisa Calls Down Mermelstein

Niveau 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Aaron Mermelstein raised it up to 110,000 on the button and Rok Gostisa defended from the big blind. The flop came {k-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} and Gostisa check-called a bet from Mermelstein.

The river was the {4-Spades} and Gostisa checked for the third time. Mermelstein splashed in a third a barrel of 575,000 and Gostisa looked him up. Mermelstein showed his {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} which was no good against the {k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} of Gostisa.

Barfield Out After Aces Cracked

Niveau 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Nicholas Ramsey opened with {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} to 115,000 from early position before Andrew Barfield three-bet to 270,000 with {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}.

William Nunley then woke up with {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} in the small blind and reraised to 650,000. Ramsey quickly folded and then Barfield then jammed for 1,515,000 and was called.

The {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} gave the queens a flush draw and the {3-Clubs}gave Nunley the best hand. The {4-Clubs} would chop the pot but the river was the {8-Hearts} instead and sent Barfield to the rail.

Taylor Eliminates Shegal

Niveau 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Vikenty Shegal was getting to his feet having been eliminated at the hands of Andrew Taylor.

Shegal's {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} was ahead of his opponent's {a-Spades}{j-Spades} pre-flop, but Taylor did flop a pair on the {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop.

However, the turn {3-Spades} and river {5-Spades} gave Taylor runner-runner flush to eliminate Shegal.

"On the turn, you just knew it was coming," said a tablemate as Shegal hit the rail.

Neiman's Kings Hold to Bust Diaz

Niveau 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Adria Diaz had gotten his stack of approximately 1,500,000 in from the cutoff and he was at risk against Philip Neiman in the hijack.

Adria Diaz: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Philip Neiman: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts} as Neiman clapped and let out a "Let's go!" at the sight of the river card which confirmed the result, while Diaz hit the rail as the dealer confirmed he had slightly less chips to start the hand.
