Chen Eliminates De Silva on Rollercoaster Runout

Niveau 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Pete Chen
Pete Chen

Upeshka "gomezhamburg" De Silva moved all in for 10,908 under the gun and Pete "PeteChen" Chen rejammed in middle position.

Upeshka "gomezhamburg" De Silva: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Pete "PeteChen" Chen: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The two were flipping, and the {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop vaulted De Silva ahead. However, the {10-Spades} turn left him quickly drawing dead to the {k-Clubs} river, and Chen collected the pot.

Dimov Spikes Two-Outer to Oust Opponent

Niveau 9 : 400/800, 80 ante
Ognyan Dimov
Ognyan Dimov

"BubbleBoyTY" moved all in for 16,480 in middle position and Ognyan "fizoka" Dimov rejammed in the cutoff.

"BubbleBoyTY": {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Ognyan "fizoka" Dimov: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop changed nothing and neither did the {3-Hearts} turn, but the {8-Hearts} spiked the river to give Dimov a set and eliminate "BubbleBoyTY".

Merson Doubles Against Bizarre Massive Overbet Jam on Flop

Niveau 4 : 125/250, 25 ante
Greg Merson
Greg Merson

"takeleschu" opened to 500 from middle position and Greg "DustedYou" Merson defended the big blind.

The flop fell {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Hearts}, Merson checked, and "takeleschu" jammed into the 1,300 pot. Merson thought about it and called for his 34,447 chips.

Greg "DustedYou" Merson: {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
"takeleschu": {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

It was a bold strategy for "takeleschu", but it didn't pay off, as the {6-Diamonds} and {j-Clubs} completed the board to give the 2012 WSOP Main Event winner the double.

"takeleschu" was left with only 2,841 chips, and busted shortly after.

Lichtenberger Busts Linde on Cooler

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 20 ante
Andrew Lichtenberger
Andrew Lichtenberger

Dylan "Sobchak67" Linde opened to 500 from middle position, Jonathan "Art.Vandelay" Dokler three-bet to 1,600 in the cutoff, and Andrew "WATCHGUY42" Lichtenberger cold four-bet to 3,670 on the button. Action folded back to Linde who five-bet to 7,600, Dokler folded, and Lichtenberger called.

The flop fell {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, Linde led for 3,200, and Lichtenberger called. The {4-Diamonds} landed on the turn, Linde shoved for 13,150, and Lichtenberger quickly called.

Dylan "Sobchak67" Linde: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Andrew "WATCHGUY42" Lichtenberger: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Linde ran his ladies into rockets, and the {3-Spades} river failed to give him a queen, eliminating him and rocketing Lichtenberger up the leaderboard.

WSOP Online Bracelet Event #1: $5,300 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Freezeout Kicks Off at 3:30 p.m.

Welcome to the opening WSOP.com online bracelet event of the 2022 World Series of Poker. Event #1: $5,300 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Freezeout is scheduled to get underway at 3:30 p.m. Pacific Time.

There are 13 online bracelets to be won on WSOP.com for players in Nevada and New Jersey between June 5 and July 17, in addition to the 88 live bracelet events in Las Vegas during the summer.

There’s already over 20 people registered for the tournament an hour before it begins, including Tony “Panoramic” Dunst, Jesse "Dangerous22" Lonis, Mitchell "franzia" Halverson, Katie "katelin" Lindsay, Thomas "HavanaClub" Boivin, and Ryan "Protential" Laplante.

Justin Saliba
Justin Saliba

Justin “Jsaliba2" Saliba took down this event during the WSOP online bracelet series in July 2021 for his first bracelet and $253,800. He was the last player standing in the tournament which saw a $940,000 prize pool from 188 entrants, and perhaps he’ll make an appearance today.

It also wouldn’t be surprising to see reigning WSOP.com Player of the Year Mike “BrockLesnar” Holtz in the mix as he’s a regular on the platform and has had many successful results in the past. He finished in ninth place in the previous running of this event, won a WSOP circuit ring in November 2021, and may be looking to add a bracelet to his jewelry collection in this event.

Players will begin with 25,000 chips, blinds will begin at 50/100 with a 10 ante, and levels will increase every 20 minutes. Late registration is open for four hours and only one entry is permitted, as this is a freezeout event.

Stay tuned for updates of this event on PokerNews until a champion is crowned, along with updates of WSOP Online Bracelet Event #2: $500 No-Limit Hold'em BIG500, which is slated to begin at 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time.
