Jett Chips Up in Showdown

Niveau 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Picking up the action on the {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts} turn, Jonathan Landis checked out of the small blind and then called a bet worth 2,500 by Chip Jett as they headed to the {5-Diamonds} on the river. Landis now bet 5,000 and Jett quickly called.

Landis tabled the {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for two pair but Jett had that beat with the {2-Hearts}{2-Spades} for a set to win a seizable pot.

Sengphet Chips Up With Aggression

Niveau 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

During a remarkable WSOP International Circuit stop at the Casino Royale on Sint Maarten, La Sengphet won her sixth WSOP Circuit ring. She had already won her entry into the Tournament of Champions in a previous WSOP Circuit stop and reached the final table in all but one of the events she played on the "friendly island" back then.

Picking up the three-way action to the {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} turn, the action checked to Sengphet and she bet 1,100 on the button for the big blind and the hijack to call. Two checks followed on the {4-Clubs} river on which Sengphet bet another 2,800. That forced two folds and the pot was shipped to the Texan.

Sawers Takes an Early Pot

Niveau 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Kathy Sawers was on the button in a four-way pot on a board reading {10-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}.

The first player to act bet 1,500 and Sawers was the only one to call. The river brought the {k-Spades} and both players checked.

"Jack," announced the opponent, who then mucked when Sawers showed {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a rivered pair of kings.

Picking up the action on the {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{j-Spades} turn, Brad Ruben bet 1,100 in the hijack and was called by Christina Gollins in the cutoff. They headed to the {3-Hearts} turn on which Ruben bet another 3,500. Gollins instantly called and then mucked when Ruben tabled the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for nines full of treys.

"Wow, you are running hot," Gollins sighed in table chat to which Ruben replied "the last time I had the nine of diamonds, I didn't keep them".

Gold Bracelet Winners in the Mix Early On

Niveau 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Massoud Eskandari can be found in the field and two WSOP gold bracelet winners share the same table. Ryan Laplante and Michael Wang are taking a shot at increasing their tally and the latter "just squeezed in", as Laplante jokingly referred to upon spotting the well-known opponent.

Just one day ago, Wang won his second gold bracelet in Event #87: $5,000 8-Handed No-Limit Hold'em after defeating Farid Jattin in heads-up to claim a top prize worth $541,604.
