Big Turn For Nocerino

Niveau 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

On a flop of 972 Frankie Nocerino bet 3,000, which was about the size of the pot . The button raised to 11,500 and Nocerino eventually called after some time.

The J came on the turn and Nocerino checked before the button quickly moved all in for approximately 25,000. Nocerino called with a dominating hand:

Frankie Nocerino: JJ
Opponent: AA

An inconsequential 7 fell on the river and Nocerino dragged the pot.

A Disciplined Orbit With the Defending Champ

Niveau 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Katie Kopp
Katie Kopp

Last year's Casino Employees event champ Katie Kopp is in the field, but unable to get much traction early.

A recent orbit with Kopp saw her involved in a four-way pot to a flop of 7JA2, then check-fold her big blind to a 1,000 chip bet from the button.

Kopp then folded her next seven hands, as she resists the urge to splash around, while her stack has dropped slightly from its starting point.

PokerNews will continue to follow Kopp's progress throughout the day.

Duke Forces A Fold

Niveau 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

On a board of 10582, Raymond Duke bet out 1,000 from under the gun. A player in middle position thought briefly before putting in a raise to 3,000.

After a moment, Duke slid out enough chips to put the other player to the test for all his chips, prompting about a minute of consideration before his opponent begrudgingly tossed his cards toward the muck.

Richards Wins With Flush Over Flush

Niveau 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

PokerNews Podcast co-host Connor Richards faced an under-the-gun limp and an early position raise to 500, which he called in middle position. The under-the-gun player called as well and the trio went to the flop.

It came Q57 and after a check and a bet of 1,200, Richards called, as did the under-the-gun player.

On the J turn, following a pair of checks, Richards bet 3,000, which only the under-the-gun player called.

The river brought the Q and Richards now faced a 3,000 bet from his remaining opponent. He raised to 12,000 and got a call.

Richards showed A10 for a flopped nut flush, while his opponent gave a courtesy showing of his 86 for an inferior flush.

Niveau 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Josh Ray opened to 500 under the gun and got three-bet by a player in middle position. Ray called to see a flop of KA3 and led out for 2,500.

Ray's opponent called and on the K turn, both players checked.

The river brought the Q and again both players checked. Ray showed A10 for a winning two pair to take down a pot that has him back on the road to a starting stack after an early slide.

River Bluff Goes Wrong as Honegger Rakes in a Huge Pot

Niveau 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

With the pot standing at approximately 12,000, the small blind jammed the river for their remaining 6,700 chips on a board of 10Q6K4. On the button was Josh Honegger, who toyed with calling chips in his hands for some time before finally flicking them in for what appeared to be a tough call.

The opponent frustratingly tabled 98 for a flopped double gutshot that failed to materialize. Honegger tabled AQ for a heroic second pair as he scooped a huge pot.
