Niveau 19
Dustin Dirksen
Dustin Dirksen

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Dustin Dirksen raised to 30,000 in middle position and Ryan Goindoo three-bet to 95,000 in the big blind. Dirksen called.

Goindoo bet 200,000 on the flop of 1042 and Dirksen quickly called. Goindoo then moved all in on the 7 turn as Dirksen snap-called off with 664,000.

Dustin Dirksen: AKKQ
Ryan Goindoo: AA44

Dirksen had turned a flush to be in front of the set of fours of Goindoo and the 9 bricked off on the river for Dirksen to scoop one of the biggest pots of the tournament so far to double into the chip lead.

Stud Hi-Lo Regular

Scott Bohlman: 1074 / 76A5
Marco Johnson: 543 / 9262

Picking up the action on fifth street, Scott Bohlman bet and was called by Marco Johnson, who then paired on sixth. Bohlman bet again to earn a call and bet seventh with a few chips behind. Johnson raised and Bohlman gasped a brief smile before he moved forward the chips, seemingly knowing that his fate had already been sealed.

Johnson announced a straight and showed his six to go with it, while Bohlman's seven-six couldn't earn a chop.

Paul Volpe

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

In a heads-up pot, Paul Volpe drew two and Marco Johnson drew one before Volpe checked and Johnson bet 52,000. Volpe sat still and went in the tank before announcing all-in for about 250,000. Johnson then went in the tank before calling.

Volpe showed 87432 for an eight-seven smooth and it was good to win the pot as his opponent mucked in defeat.

Hennigan Gets Short; Dirksen Pulls Away

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Dustin Dirksen won two pots in Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw including a three-bet to 200,000 against John Hennigan, who folded and was shown the 7x6x3x2x by Dirksen.

Up next, it changed to the Limit variant and Dirksen raised from under the gun. Hennigan three-bet and Zack Freeman four-bet out of the big blind. Both Dirksen and Hennigan called and they each discarded one each. "That's a fair fight," Dirksen continued his very chatty behaviour of the last few minutes.

They checked again to the second draw and repeated discarding one each, checking again to the final draw on which they all took one new card. Freeman was the only one to check-call a bet by Dirksen, who won the pot with the 9x8x6x3x2x.

No-Limit Hold'em

Much to the surprise of everyone else at the table, Chad Eveslage selected No-Limit Hold'em instead of his usual Badeucey and then raised from under the gun. Paul Volpe called out of the big blind. On a flop of 1093, both invested 55,000 and that led to the 6 turn on which Volpe checked.

Eveslage bet 160,000 and Volpe called after short consideration, then checked the 5 on the river. With the superior stack, Eveslage pushed all-in and Volpe called within fewer than five seconds.

Eveslage tabled the 33 for a set and Volpe mucked the AA to bow out in 11th place.

"For the first time in his life, he calls NLHE and hits a set in the first hand ..." Marco Johnson stated in table chat. Mike Gorodinsky chimed in "that's really scary, man ... really scary".

Goindoo Folds Out Siegel; Hennigan Stays Afloat

Niveau 19

Big O

Ryan Goindoo opened to 50,000 from the cutoff and table short stack Jordan Siegel defended out of the big blind.

Siegel checked on the 1093 flop and Goindoo continued for 60,000. Siegel called. Siegel checked once more on the 7 turn and folded when Goindoo fired a bet of 150,000.

Earlier, John Hennigan managed to triple his stack in a 2-7 Triple Draw hand against Siegel and Dustin Dirksen and later check-jamming on Goindoo on the river of a Big O hand.

Freeman Scoops Dirksen

Niveau 19

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Zack Freeman raised to 27,000 for the second hand in a row and Dustin Dirksen called in the cutoff. They checked to the KJ473 river on which Freeman checked the third street in a row. Dirksen bet the pot and was called to reveal the 5542 for a pair of fives and seven low.

Freeman turned over the AQJ2 and Dirksen was expecting a chop, asking "you don't have a high?" before he realised the error, as he was in fact scooped.

Eveslage Cannot Bluff Engel

Niveau 19

Badugi

Having defended the small blind against a button raise by Ari Engel, Chad Eveslage check-called a bet prior to the final draw. Both discarded one card each and Eveslage then bet. Engel quickly called to see his opponent flash the A4 with a smirk on the face.

Engel revealed 10 / 52A for a three-card five and that won the pot.

Jordan Siegel Eliminated in 10th Place ($25,822)

Niveau 19

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Dustin Dirksen opened to 30,000 as the first player to act and Jordan Siegel three-bet all in for 83,000 from the cutoff. Zack Freeman then four-bet to around 300,000 from the small blind and stood pat as Dirksen folded.

Siegel groaned as he considered breaking his hand with his kids sweating the action from the rail.

"Can you at least show my son your hand?" Siegel asked Freeman. "He probably won't even understand it."

Eventually Siegel stood pat with 98742, but it wasn't enough to beat the 98632 of his opponent as he joined his son and daughter behind the ropes.
