The 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) consists of 95 bracelet events and is almost entirely tournament-focused, but there are also opportunities to play high-stakes cash games at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas this summer.

Located in the back of the Paris Convention Center, the fabled King's Lounge is lined with high-stakes cash game tables where you may spot Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius or Daniel Negreanu playing No-Limit Hold'em or Pot-Limit Omaha.

The Coldest Cooler

Niveau 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Phuoc Nguyen enthusiastically went all-in with an at risk stack committed in front of him. His opponent was forced to put his meal on pause as both players rolled their hand.

Early Position: AK
Phuoc Nguyen: AA

The table began to chatter as the AK2 fanned out, the J on the turn left the ace-king dead and the K was just a needle as they made second boat.

"Now that was a cooler...", said Nguyen as his opponent his the rail.

Guerrero Sends Out Short-Stacked Player

Niveau 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Jefferson Guerrero raised to 210,000 in early position and the table folded around to the big blind who was all-in for 50,000.

Big Blind: QQ
Jefferson Guerrero: 77

The big blind woke up with a monster but the A75 flop was a disaster for him as Guerrero flopped a set of sevens. The 5 turn and 2 river changed nothing as Guerrero sent him to the payout desk.

Bonyadi’s Quads Takes Massive Pot

Niveau 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Four-time WSOP bracelet Farzad Bonyadi was involved in heavy action, which included a three bet, against an opponent in the small blind before the dealer placed cards on the board.

Bonyadi made the call to bring action to the flop, which produced 4710. His opponent, who had Bonyadi covered, moved all in and Bonyadi immediately called.

Bonyadi: 77
Opponent: KK

Bonyadi had his opponent crushed with middle set, and the A on the turn didn’t help the opponent, who needed one of the two remaining kings to hit a bigger set.

The 7 hit the river, giving Bonyadi quads and a 3,500,000 pot.

Dudley Shows the Bluff

Niveau 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Andrew Dudley raised to 220,000 on the button and James Burgin defended the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of 832, and both players quickly checked to the A turn.

Burgin led out for 200,000 and Dudley raised 650,000. Burgin gave it a few moments of thought and made the call.

When the 6 landed on the river, Burgin checked and Dudley announced a bet of 1,000,000. Burgin's cards instantly shot into the muck and Dudley couldn't wait to slam his K5 face up on the table.

"I don't usually do that," claimed Dudley. "I usually fold ace-queen suited."

Wien Doubles Up After Break

Niveau 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

WSOP bracelet winner Jeremy Wien had 775,000 to start Level 27, leaving him with less than 10 big blinds.

He found a spot to go all in at the cutoff position, but things got interesting when the player in small blind, who had Wien covered, re-raised all in. The big blind mucked his hand and the cards were tabled.

Wien: K8
Opponent: QQ

Wien remained behind when the dealer fanned 9210 on the flop, and then he took the lead when K appeared on the turn. He still had to sweat the river but was safe from being sent to the rail when 9 hit the board.

Ramirez Avoids the Queen

Niveau 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The under-the-gun player raised to 180,000, the action folded around to George Ramirez on the button, and he jammed for 560,000. The blinds got out of the way and the under-the-gun player snap called while rolling his hand face up.

George Ramirez: AQ
Under-The-Gun Player: KJ

Ramirez was in the lead and the A106 flop gave him top pair. "Not a queen again," cried Ramirez as he stood up from the table.

However, the queen never came to give his opponent a straight as the board completed with the 9 on the turn and the 9 on the river.

Opponent: JJ
Sean Ahrens: QQ

The board ran out without any additional sweats, 385A3.
