Kabaki Loses a Monster Pot to Jamasi

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Farhad Jamasi
Farhad Jamasi

Marie Kabaki raised from the hijack to 40,000 and Farhad Jamasi defended in the big blind.

The flop came K♣2♥9♣ and Jamasi checked the action over to Kabaki who continued for 35,000. In response, Jamasi check-raised to 125,000 and Kabaki called.

The river fell the 9♥ and Jamasi again checked the hand over to Kabaki who put an additional 225,000 chips in the pot. Action back on Jamasi, he went for the back-to-back check raise shoving all in for 832,000.

After minutes in the tank the hand went to a showdown and the cards were on their backs:

Farhad Jamasi: A♣9♠
Marie Kabaki: K♥Q♦

The river didn't improve Kabaki and she shipped a massive pot in the direction of Jamasi leaving herself with only 58,000.
