Pescatori Preparing For Another Event

Niveau 9

Max Pescatori bet on a flop of 8210 before a player in the hijack raised. Another opponent in the cutoff moved all in for less and Pescatori called.

The turn came the Q and Pescatori check-called a bet to build a side pot. Pescatori again check-called on the K turn.

His opponent turned over A1037, but Pescatori had 8236 for two pair as both players mucked, the cutoff heading for the rail.

"Badugi," Pescatori said. "I'm preparing for the Badugi tournament."

Dirksen Gets Much-Needed Pot

Niveau 9

Dustin Dirksen, runner-up in the $10,000 championship edition of this event last year, was sitting on a short stack as he raised from the big blind after an opponent on the button limped in. The button called as they saw a flop of 26J.

Dirksen continued with a bet and the button called. Both players checked the 7 turn.

The river came the K and Dirksen led out again. The button gave the decision some thought before flinging in a call.

"Two pair," Dirksen announced, turning over A10K2 for kings and deuces as he took in the pot to climb back up near the starting stack.
