No Sweat for Niebel

Niveau 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

On a flop of 746, Carlos Suarez led out for 2,000 but was then raised to 8,000 by Brian Niebel and another player made the call.

Suarez then moved all in for around 30,000, which caused Niebel to also move all in for less. The other player quickly got out of the way and the cards were tabled, with Niebel at risk of elimination.

Brian Niebel: 44
Carlos Suarez: AQ

"Well that's poker right there!" tablemate Daniel Labrunda commented at the classic flush draw versus set race.

Well Niebel didn't have long to sweat as the turn immediately paired the board with the 6 to give him a full house and left Suarez drawing dead. The meaningless 5 completed the board and Niebel was shipped the large pot for a big double up.

Suarez was left short after that battle but was able to get some of it back the following hand when his ace-jack bested his opponent's ace-seven on an ace-high board in a 20,000 chip pot.
