Chirva Calls Down Davis

Geoff Paul

Niveau 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Preflop action opened with Maksim Chirva raising to 1,000 from middle position. Matt Davis then raised to 2,300 from the button, and Chirva called.

Chirva checked the flop of J♦5♣9♠ before calling a bet of 2,300 from Davis.

The turn came 2♦ and Davis bet a single 5,000 chip. Chirva thought for about sixty seconds before tossing in a call.

The J♥ hit the river, and both players checked. "Nine," said Chirva as he turned over 9♥8♥.

"That's good," said Davis, mucking. "Good call."
