Burchfield Takes one Down Before Dinner

Niveau 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Kris Burchfield was in the big blind when he was faced with an open to 18,000 from his opponent on the button.

Burchfield then three-bet to 50,000 and the button called for them to see the flop of J82. Both players then decided to check all the way through the 56 runout and Burchfield announced ace-high and showed A4. His opponent tapped the table to confirm that it was good and the pot was awarded to Burchfield.

Leathley Takes Out Two

Niveau 14 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Guy Leathley, having previously called from early position, found himself facing two players who had gone all in - the cutoff and the big blind. Leathley made the call having both of his opponents covered.

Cutoff: 88
Big Blind: A10
Guy Leathley: KQ

Leathley pulled ahead on the JQ9 flop. The 4 only increased the number of outs that he had to fade, but the harmless J on the river awarded him the pot and eliminated both of his opponents.

Runner-Runner Rusak

Niveau 14 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On a heads-up flop of A24, Ark Rusak shoved all-in for around 50,000 and was called by his opponent for less.

Rusak flipped over Q8 for a queen-high flush draw but then his opponent tabled KJ for a superior flush draw.

This was a worst-case scenario for Rusak, but the poker gods smiled upon him as the board ran out 88 to give him trip eights to take the pot.

His opponent just sat there for several seconds with his jaw open and as the chips were pushed across the table to Rusak before he shook his head and made his way to the exit.

Cisneros Running White-Hot

Niveau 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Juan Cisneros bet 30,000 from the big blind on a board of 3277. The player under the gun raised to 60,000 and Cisneros called. The river came 9. Cisneros bet enough to put his opponent all in. His opponent thought for a few moments before folding, and Cisneros turned over 64 for a complete bluff that resulted in a few claps from his tablemates.

On the very next hand, the cutoff raised to 8,000 on the 9108 board. Cisneros, now the small blind, raised to 24,000. His opponent went all in, and Cisneros instantly called.

Cutoff: 76
Juan Cisneros: QJ

Cisneros' nut straight had his opponent's lesser straight dominated, and the 6Q runout resulted in another pile of chips being pushed in his direction.

Werner Heating Up

Niveau 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Haven Werner opened to 8,000 and then action folded around to the player on the button who jammed for 57,000 total. The rest of the players got out of the way and it was back to Werner, who looked into the void for a few seconds as she pondered her decision.

She then flicked in a chip to put her opponent at risk, and the race was on.

Button Player: KJ
Haven Werner: A10

The board ran out 4Q5A5 to pair Werner's ace on the turn to win her the pot and eliminated her opponent in the process. She is now sitting at 205,000 and is one of the more formidable stacks in the room.
