Trips Over Trips

Niveau 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Sang Lee retold a story about a hand where he doubled his stack. The player under the gun, John Corning raised preflop and Lee called on the button.

The flop came down 9x9xKx and Corning bet and Lee raised and Corning moved all in and Lee called and discovered he was behind.

Sang Lee: 96
John Corning: A9

Both players had trips but Lee had the inferior kicker heading to the turn which was the 6x and the river was a blank leaving Lee with the full house and the win.

Rivers Are for Gamers

Niveau 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Daniel Gamer loved the river.

PokerNews was told of a hand that nearly tripled up Gamer, as he raised preflop and had two callers. Gamer then bet 20,000 on the QxJx3x flop and saw both of his opponents go all in with slightly smaller stacks than his own. He decided to call, putting both of his opponents at risk.

Opponent 1: KxQx
Opponent 2: Qx10x
Daniel Gamer: AxAx

Gamer's aces were good when the money went in, but the 10x turn gave one of his opponents two pair. Gamer watched as the river came Jx giving him aces up and the big win.

Perez Puts in the Five Bet

Niveau 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

There was a raise under the gun to 2,200 and action folded to Andy Perez in middle position who put in the cold three bet to 5,900. The next player to act thought for a moment before cold calling the three bet and action was back on the under the gun player. They thought for about a minute before ultimately putting in the four bet rip for 24,500. With action back on Perez he didn't take much time before putting in the five bet all in to push out the cold caller behind him. The plan worked, the cold caller folded, and they were off to a full board with one player all in.

Under the Gun: AQ
Andy Perez: JJ

The board ran out 76KK5 and Perez got almost a full double to start the level.
