A few other notable players from Day 1d that found a bag were two-time bracelet winner Anatolii Zyrin (1,450,000), Timothy Little (705,000), and bracelet winner Ian Steinman (855,000). Zyrin, who ran up a healthy stack, was involved in a hand late in the day where he knocked out fellow bracelet winner Jeremy Wien to help himself chip up.
Unfortunately, not everyone was as lucky as the players mentioned above. Among those to bust on Day 1d were several bracelet winners including, Jamie Gold, Joe Cada, and David Pham.
The overall chip leader is still Patrick White, who bagged the chip lead on Day 1a with 3,405,000. Other massive stacks entering Day 2 include Day 1b chip leader Justin Arnwine with 3,080,000, Richard Gao with 3,105,000, and Peter Lee with 3,100,000.
Day 2 of the Gladiators of Poker begins at 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 11. Players remaining from all Day 1 flights will play 17 40-minute levels with the final table being played on Day 3. There will be a 20-minute break after every three levels and a 60-minute dinner break after level 31 (~7:00 p.m.).
