Sean Winter opened to 450,000 from the small blind with K♠Q♠ and Axel Hallay defended the big blind with A♣3♦.

Winter sized up to 900,000 on the 5♣3♠2♥ flop and Hallay called to boost the pot to 2,860,000.

The 2♦ turn paired the board and action checked through to the 10♠ river, which also checked through to showdown and Hallay received a small rebate.

Axel Hallay raised to 350,000 with A♠3♠ and Sean Winter defended his big blind holding K♣9♥.

The 4♥9♦3♥ flop gave both players a pair and Hallay continued for 350,000 with his threes. Winter raised to 850,000 with top pair before Hallay came back with a reraise to 1,700,000.

Winter went through three time bank chips before he called to the 4♠ turn. He checked over to Hallay, who continued betting for 1,200,000 this time.

Winter called once again and both players slowed down and checked the 6♠ river as Winter climbed above 10,000,000.

Axel Hallay opened to 350,000 from the button with A♣Q♥ and Chance Kornuth defended his big blind with K♣3♣.

Hallay's hand remained best on the 9♣8♣7♠ flop but Kornuth picked up the king-high flush draw. Action checked through to the 3♥ turn to give Kornuth the lead with a pair of threes. Both players checked again which brought in the 5♦ river.

For a third time, the action checked through and Kornuth took the pot.

Axel Hallay opened to 350,000 from the cutoff with K♠8♠, and Chance Kornuth called from the button with A♠5♠.

Hallay made trips on the 8♥8♣2♠ flop and checked. Kornuth then fired for 220,000, and Hallay just called.

The 2♥ turn double-paired the board and filled up Hallay. Both players checked.

The 6♦ completed the board, and Hallay checked for a third time, continuing to set the trap with the best hand. Kornuth took the bait and bet 785,000. Hallay then made it 2,600,000, and Kornuth released his hand.

Winter Calls Down With Ace-High

Sean Winter raised to 375,000 from the button with A♠9♦ and Alexandre Vuilleumier defended the big blind with 10♠9♥.

The flop came Q♥7♠K♦ and Winter continued for 255,000. Vuilleumier called and both players checked the 8♥ turn.

Vuilleumier missed his straight draw on the 2♣ river and tried to take the pot with a bet of 500,000. Winter grabbed some chips from the top of his stack and began shuffling them before sticking them in the middle and finding out his ace-high was good.

Kornuth Hits the Flop, Lin Spikes the Turn

Chance Kornuth limped in with Q♦8♦ before Ren Lin, in the big blind, raised to 480,000 holding A♥2♥.

Kornuth called as they went heads-up to the 3♣10♥8♠ flop. Kornuth checked his pair of eights, then called when Lin continued for 350,000.

The A♦ turn, though, gave Lin back the lead with a pair of aces and he bet another 475,000. Kornuth, peering at Lin from underneath the brim of his hat, again called to see the J♦ river.

Both players checked as Lin took the pot and increased his stack past 4,000,000.

Weissman was the huge favorite but immediately became the underdog after Vuilleumier made trips on the 7♥3♣3♠ flop. The 8♠ turn and 8♦ river confirmed the bad beat and gave Vuilleumier a full house to secure Weissman's exit.

On the second hand of the final table, Joey Weissman raised to 260,000 from under the gun as action folded to Ren Lin on the button. "All in. Let's go," he said as he moved all in for 1,420,000. Weissman called when action got back around to him.

"I think he has a bad feeling because he's not talking," a player at the table said as Lin uncharacteristically fell silent heading to the flop.

"Because he's my good friend," Lin replied.

The 2♣J♠5♦ flop was a disaster for Weissman as Lin made top set. The 10♦ on the turn gave Weissman a set and left him drawing to a miracle one-outer on the river, but he missed the 6♣ as he handed over most of his stack.
