Day 2 of Event #20: $1,500 Badugi Kicks Off

Day 2 of Event #20: $1,500 Badugi will resume at 1 p.m. here at the 2023 World Series of Poker. Day 1 saw 516 hopefuls trying to write their name in history as the winner of the debut edition of this event.

183 playerrs will return to Horsehoe and Paris Las Vegas this afternoon and see if they can make it to tomorrow’s final day – and a shot at the $144,678 prize for first place.

Among those returning today are three-time $10,000 Dealer's Choice champion Adam Friedman (126,500), the six-time bracelet winner Brian Hastings (118,000), and last year’s POY winner, Daniel Zack (120,500.

Also among the favorites is British pro Adam Owen, who currently sits near the top of the field with 192,000 in chips.

Notable players who fell on Day 1 include Benny Glaser, Barry Greenstein and Allen Kessler.

Day 2 will consist of ten 60-minute blind levels with a 15-minute break after every two levels.

Play will resume at Level 16 with blinds at 1,500/3,000 and limits of 3,000/6,000. The day will include a dinner break at approximately 7:30 p.m.
