James Newberry opened on the button and Rupesh Pattni called all in out of the small blind.

Pattni took two on the first draw to Newberry's one while on the second draw both players drew one. The final draw saw no more cards drawn after which Newberry showed down 8652, beating Pattni's nine badugi and sending him to the rail short of the money.

Toh Leaves Demeter Short

William Toh opened from the cutoff only to face a three-bet from Ryan Demeter in the small blind. Toh responded by four-betting and then called after Demeter capped.

Demeter stood pat on the first draw while Toh took one after which Toh called a bet by Demeter.

The same drawing and betting pattern took place on the second draw with Demeter once again standing pat on the third draw. Toh drew one and then raised after Demeter bet. Demeter, muttering "you're so lucky", called and mucked after Toh tabled 863A for the eight badugi.

Katz KO'd by Lang

Cary Katz was already short and had all his chips in the middle before drawing. He found himself heads up with Michael Lang.

Katz stood pat and Lang drew one for all three draws. Lang got there with the final draw and his 5432 beat KJ63, sending Katz to the rail.

Jack O'Neill opened from under the gun and then called after Rupesh Pattni three-bet in the cutoff.

Both players took one card on the initial draw with action then going check-bet-call.

As on the previous draw, O'Neill and Pattni each drew one card with O'Neill checking to Pattni before once more calling.

The final draw saw O'Neill take one wile Pattni stood pat. O'Neill then checked and, after Pattni bet, folded.

Silver Takes a Big Hit From Gerhart

There was a flurry of betting action before the first draw, which ended with Nate Silver and Kevin Gerhart heads up and a big pot brewing.

Both players stood pat. Silver checked, Gerhart bet, Silver called again. This time Silver decided to draw one. Gerhart patted and bet. Silver called once more.

The same action repeated on the third draw but after Gerhart bet this time, Silver folded.

"Do you wanna see it?", Gerhart enquired. Silver replied in the affirmative and Gerhart tabled J542.

The hand left Silver on fumes and he busted shortly afterwards.
