Spurlin of the Moment

Niveau 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Jordan Spurlin
Jordan Spurlin

There must have been something in the air. A series of pot sized raises somehow left Michael Whitton all in, along side Suk Bang who had started the day with the chip lead, Jordan Spurlin got his chips in the middle and by the time it got back to Michael Dentale, there were three players' chip stacks sitting in front of them. Dentale was in a position where he could score a triple knock out if his hand could catch. Dentale did make the call after some deliberation.

Suk Bang: K♦Q♥4♥8♥
Jordan Spurlin: K♣K♥4♣7♥
Michael Whitton: A♦A♣J♥2♠
Michael Dentale: 5♦4♠3♠2♣

One of Dentale's table mates chimed in that he wasn't in too bad of shape. The board then ran out J♦2♦7♠ which didn't help anyone in particular, but when the 7♦ rolled off it put Spurlin in position to quadruple up. The river was a brick and Spurlin scooped a pot well over 2,000,000 in chips.

"Nice hand, kiddo.", said Dentale as he shrugged off the situation.

Bang was eliminated and Whitton was left with only a couple chips, which he lost a few hands later.

Dentale Flops a Boat

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Michael Dentale

Suk Bang opened to 60,000 from early position and Michael Dentale called. Chris Ginley then moved his final 79,000 chips into the middle from the big blind, with both Bang and Dentale making the call.

then flop of Q♥K♥Q♠ saw Dentale bet 100,000, only to see Bang pot it to 572,000. Dentale then moved all in for 869,000 and Bang called.

Chris Ginley: A♣A♥J♣10♠
Michael Dentale: K♠Q♣9♦8♦
Suk Bang: Q♦J♦10♥3♥

Dentale had flopped a full house, with the 4♠ turn and 5♣ river changing nothing. Ginley was eliminated, while Dentale left Bang on the short stack.

Cong Conquers Chu

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Senh Cong raised from early position and called when Liming Chu moved his short stack all in.

Liming Chu: A♣A♥Q♠5♠
Senh Cong: K♣10♥8♣8♥

Chu's aces were ahead and improved to two pair on the Q♦9♠9♣ flop. The 6♣ turn brought Cong a straight draw, which was completed on the 7♠ river to eliminate Chu.

Ogwo Eliminated With Nut Flush

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Praise Ogwo
Praise Ogwo

Praise Ogwo could be heard unironically shouting, "Oh, Jesus..." as Nicoas Gola rolled his hand.

When PokerNews made their way over there was a board reading J♣5♥4♥5♦3♥ and Ogwo had called a large river bet for most of his stack and saw that his A♥8♥XxXx was no good against the rivered straight flush of Gola who showed 6♥2♥10♣10♦.

Gola let PokerNews know he had limped preflop, bet the flop, bet the turn, and barreled the river. A boon for Gola was misfortune for Ogwo and he was eliminated shortly after, as he was only left with a few big blinds.

Elezra Eliminates Another One

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

A short stacked, Seth Frederici put the rest of his chips in preflop against Eli Elezra and the rest of the table folded. Frederici was distressed to see Elezra not only had the better hand, but also had one of his suits covered.

Seth Frederici: K♦5♦J♥6♥
Eli Elezra: A♣A♦8♥10♥

The board ran out 8♣8♠6♦, the turn was a brick, ad when the 6♣ rolled off on the river, Frederici thought he won for a moment before realizing Elezra had flopped trips, leaving him without a chance.

No Comeback For Williams

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

David Williams was left short-stacked after the previous hand and slid his final 50,000 into the middle from early position. Liming Chu raised to 100,000 on the button and the blinds got out of the way.

David Williams: A♥10♥4♦3♠
Liming Chu: A♠Q♥Q♦10♠

Williams was trailing and found no help on the 2♦9♦5♣ flop. The J♣ turn changed nothing, while the 8♦ river gave Chu a straight to end Williams' tournament run.

The tournament broke down to the final seven tables, as Filippos Stavrakis was also headed to the rail.
