Event #28: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout at the 2023 World Series of Poker at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas will be played today to its conclusion on Day 3 as we crown a winner. These extraordinary 17 players are sure to provide an action-packed day.

After an initial field of 2,046 was whittled down to 188 players on the first day of play, Day 2 saw only 17 players reach the final day as they all remain in the running for the prestigious bracelet.

Of those, Matthew Hunt solidified his place as an overwhelming chip leader bagging 9,380,000 for the restart today, and his closest competitors are Benjamin Ector (5,690,000), Jean Lhuillier (5,165,000) and Dean Hutchison (4,000,000).

The elusive bracelet will add to Matthew Hunt's impressive poker career as this would be his first. Unlike Dietrich Fast who is also in the running but is seeking his second bracelet which he won in 2015 at The Oktoberfest €550 No Limit Hold'em Event. Fast also won first place in a World Poker Tour event in the same year.

Each remaining player is guaranteed a payout of $17,996 but all have their eyes on the $406,403 for first place, as well as the all-important gold bracelet of the 2023 WSOP.

Day 3 will take place on the feature tables in the Horseshoe Event Center at Noon PDT as we play down to a winner through 60-minute levels. Alongside breaks of 15 minutes every two levels, today's structure will also include a dinner break of which the time and length is to be determined.
