Vibe's Great; Runout's Bad

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Johnnie Vibes Moreno
Johnnie Vibes Moreno

Johnnie "Vibes" Moreno was all in and at risk against the bigger stack of Martin Stoyanov and he needed help in a bad way on a board reading K95

Johnnie Moreno: KJ
Martin Stoyanov: AK

Moreno was calling for a heart before the turn peeled, but when the 5 appeared he needed a jack, but the river was a brick and he was sent on his way.

The banter at his table hadn't stopped all day. From Chino Rheem having folded kings face up, to Mustava Kanit's boisterous laughter, it was a table that seems to just accumulate chips as new challengers bust.

Stoyanov was left with chirping chips and conversation was soon struck up with him as Moreno walked to pay outs.

Roussy-Majeau Scores Suck Out Bust Out

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Zhan Peng Ma had gotten it all in with AQ from the big blind, and Samuel Roussy-Majeau called from late position with Q10.

Roussy-Majeau spiked a ten on a flop of 1048 and the 34 turn and river provided no retribution for Peng Ma's bad beat.

Carlton Catches on the River to Triple Up

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Fresh off a sixth place finish in the $1,500 WSOP razz event, Everett Carlton moved all in for his remaining 173,000 from early position, and Benjamin Ector called. But Colin Robinson reraised to 400,000 from the button. Ector then moved all in over Robinson and he folded.

Carlton: AJ
Ector: AK

The 5108 flop did not help Carlton, and the K on the turn seemed like it would end his day. However, one of his four outs hit the river, the Q, and he earned the triple up with the Broadway straight. Ector won a $400,000 side pot to also come out ahead on the hand.

Phil Galfond Offers Poker Hall of Fame Pick; Says Two Should Be Inducted Per Year

Niveau 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Phil Galfond has yet to make an appearance at the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP), and as he told PokerNews, right now he has no plans to play live.

“But who knows, plans change,” added Galfond, who has been playing online at WSOP.com.

While Galfond hasn’t been at the WSOP – well, at least Phil as his wife, Farah Galfond, has been competing – the three-time bracelet winner is still weighing in by his relatively new newsletter “PG’s Takes of the Week.”

One of the topics the online poker legend, who prior to the WSOP inserted himself in some drama involving Doug Polk and Charlie Carrel with a pointed letter, was that of the Poker Hall of Fame. Right now, the public is being solicited for nomination.

“The nominations for the Poker Hall of Fame are now open, presenting voters with a familiar dilemma: there are simply too many great options to choose from,” Galfond wrote before giving his picks.

The river card 4 checked through and De Silva mucked after Satyarthi tabled AK for trips.
