Katz Powers Up on River

Cary Katz raised 160,000 under the gun and received a call from Jonathan Jaffe in the small blind.

The dealer fanned 2♣J♦9♦ on the flop, which Jaffe checked. Katz bet 100,000 and Jaffe quickly called.

The turn saw 6♥, and things got interesting. After Jaffe checked, Katz asked for a chip count.

“About 1,200,000,” Jaffe replied after counting his stack.

Katz then checked behind, prompting the dealer to place K♦ on the river.

Jaffe led out 260,000, which saw Katz come over the top with an all-in bet for 1,800,000, which had Jaffe covered.

Katz’s move put Jaffe in the blender, as he used two time bank chips to ponder the situation before he eventually folded.
