Mateos Takes Down Large Pot

Niveau 8 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

There was plenty of drama when three WSOP bracelet winners got involved in a hand.

Adrian Mateos raised to 35,000 in early position and was called by Alex Foxen, who was in late position.

Ben Heath peeked down at his cards and moved all in out of the big blind for his remaining 115,000. Mateos and Foxen called.

The dealer fanned out 71010 on the board, and Mateos and Foxen checked. The 9 on the turn provided action and a sidepot, as Mateos led out for 75,000, which Foxen called. The river produced 8 and Mateos bet 100,000, forcing a fold from Foxen.

Mateos tabled 99 for a full house. Heath showed AAx, and then tossed the cards in the muck before gathering his belongings to head to the rail.

Quick $100k for Chadha; Just the Way Katz Likes It

Niveau 8 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Carlos Chadha just sat down with a fresh stack of 600,000 chips and barely had enough time to get in his seat as the cards were being dealt. Cary Katz raised it up from the cutoff and Chadha called from the big blind. The flop came Q84 and Chadha check-called a bet from Katz.

The turn brought the 7 and the two players found a way to get all of their chips in the middle, with Chadha being the player at risk for 567,000. Chadha tabled 87 for two pair but Katz had him outdone with 44 for a set of fours. The river was the 9 and Chadha was bounced from the tournament in short order.

"Well that was fun," Chadha said sarcastically as he packed up his things and headed for the exit.
