Montgomery Flops a Monster
There was a cutoff open to 1,500. The button then announced a raise to 2,500. Mans Montgomery thought for a moment and cold called from the small blind. The original raiser then flicked in the extra 1,000.
The 10♠4♠3♠ flop landed and action checked to the button who put out a wager of 5,000. Both Montgomery and the cutoff made the call.
The turn brought a 3♦ and the action checked through.
The dealer put the 5♦ on the river and Montgomery led out for 9,300. The cutoff folded and the button was not a believer as he stuck in the call.
Montgomery showed that he flopped the second nuts with K♠J♠. The button shook his head and showed 7♠7♣ before turning them back into the dealer.
