Fawcett Got Help On The River to Earn The Double

Off to a flop of 265 and Fawcett continued for 4,000.

Without much thought, the button player put in the raise to 11,000. The big blind got out of the way and Fawcett went all in for his remaining chips.

A 6 arrived on the turn, and the hijack checked. Elbert bet 6,500. The hijack thought for a few moments before raising to 20,000. Elbert immediately went all in. The hijack then went into the tank, shuffling his chips repeatedly while maintaining eye contact with Elbert.

"Why are we looking at each other?" said the hijack. "You trying to get a read on me?"

"I'm already all in," said Elbert.

"Nice bet," said the hijack, folding his hand and watching Elbert add his chips to a growing stack.
