Ausmus Makes the Right Call, Wisbrod Still Wins

Niveau 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Jeremy Ausmus opened under the gun to 600,000. The action folded all the way to Barak Wisbrod in the big blind who thought through his options but eventually flicked it in.

The 756 flop hit and Wisbrod, who was first to act, went into the tank and eventually landed on putting all of his chips in the middle.

Ausmus seemed to have a tough decision but eventually landed on a call and the cards hit their back.

Barak Wisbrod: J9
Jeremy Ausmus: AK

Ausmus had made the great hero call but still had outs to fade. Unfortunately, one of those outs hit on the 9 turn. The river brought no help in the 9 and Wisbrod would double through the chip leader.

There was an open in late position by Jeremy Ausmus to 500,000. Next to act was Eric Yanovsky on the short stack who sent in his chips for his tournament life. The rest of the players folded and action made it back to Ausmus who went into the tank. He thought it over for about two minutes before eventually sticking in the chips.

The cards hit their back with Yanovsky at risk.

Eric Yanovsky: JJ
Jeremy Ausmus: AQ

The AQ3 flop left things pretty bleak for Yanovsky and the 4 turn and 3 river sealed the deal. Yanovsky would hit the rail in 8th place after an amazing showing at one of his first major final tables.
