Andrew Barfield bet around 10,000 on a flop of 5♣J♣J♦ and Tamon Nakamura called in the big blind.
Both players checked the 4♥ turn as the 6♣ fell on the river. Nakamura checked again, and Barfield now tossed out 21,000.
Nakamura spent several minutes in the tank before he splashed in a call. Barfield showed K♣J♠ for trip jacks and Nakamura tanked to take a small hit to his massive stack.
At the same table, Andrew Hamm has dropped down to 25,000. "Bad run," he lamented.
"It ebbs and flows," tablemate Craig Chait added.
