Songer Mucks to Amer's Two Pair

Niveau 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The board read 45K10 with some chips in the middle already.

The player in the middle position had bet 7,000 and Douglas Songer raised it up to 27,500 from the hijack. Abdul Amer was in the big blind and made the call. The middle position player thought about it for a bit but folded.

The river completed the board with the A and both players checked. Amer tabled the K5 for two pair. Songer was ready to muck but was unsure and stared at the board and Amer's cards to figure out what he had. The middle position player confirmed that Amer had hit two pair and Songer's cards went into the muck.

Caudill Scores Triple Up

Niveau 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Joshua Caudill was sitting on a short stack and he got all his chips on a flop that PokerNews walked up on during the opening minutes of Day 2

Three players, which included Caudill, a player on the button and a player in early position, were all in on a flop showing 10J4. The player in early position had Caudill and the player on the button covered, and the tabled hands showed:

Joshua Caudill: AQ
Opponent on button: AA
Opponent in early position: 99

The turn produced K, and Caudill hollered out in excitement as he hit the straight. The 3 on the river ensured he would triple up with the main pot, while the player on the button got the side pot.

As the pot was being pushed his way, Caudill explained the preflop action to PokerNews. He said the player in early position raised 12,000, and he three-bet all in for his remaining 53,000. Caudill said the player on the button four-bet his all in with a min-raise, and then the player in early position five-bet all in, which was called.

“Great way to start the day,” Caudill said with a smile as he stacked his chips.

As retold by the players at the table, Eddie Zazaria just took out two more players. The early position player Jorge Juri pushed all of his chips in for about 25,500 and then Melissa Schubert in the hijack reshoved for 68,500 and Zazaria called.

Jorge Juri: QxQx
Melissa Schubert: 10x10x
Eddie Zazaria: AxKx

The first two players were drawing dead when the board came out KxKx8x8x2x.

Fisher Reels In Matthews

Niveau 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

On a three-way flop of QQ6, Tony Fore checked from under the gun, Rich Matthews checked from the hijack, and Brandon Fisher also checked from the cutoff.

The players then saw the 6 appear on the turn and Fore checked once more but Matthews decided to bet this time for 32,000. Fisher made the call while Fore folded and the two went heads up to the river 6.

Matthews fired for 30,000 but then Fisher moved all in for a little more and Matthews quickly called to put him at risk.

Matthews quickly tabled 1010 for a full house, but then Fisher rolled over QQ for flopped quads, much to the table's surprise. He was then pushed the sizeable pot to bring his stack to almost 200,000 while Matthews was left with little over a starting stack.

Dorourdian’s Kings Send Aces to Rail

Niveau 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Table 24 had a big hand showdown:

Amir Dorourdian had KK in front of him and his opponent in late position had AA.

The aces, though, were in trouble because the flop showed 79K, giving Dorourdian top set. The dealer placed 2 on the turn and 8 on the river to send Dorourdian’s opponent to the rail.

Dorourdian explained that he limped preflop with his big pocket pair and then the player on the button raised the action to 7,000. Dorourdian reraised, prompting the player with pocket aces to go all in, which Dorourdian called.
