Lyons Not Making Moves

Niveau 32 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

After a middle position raise from Jacky Lee, Pat Lyons moved all in from the big blind for 3,500,000. Lee called and it was off to the flop.

Pat Lyons: A10
Jacky Lee: KQ

"How could you call with king high," asked the brash WSOP bracelet winner and WPT champion asked. "I'm the favorite to win this tournament, I'm not making a move."

The flop seemed to defer to Lyons' notoriety, giving him a ten, 3J10, and denying Lee a king or queen on a 65 runout. Lyons doubled up to put him back in contention for an event he has declared he is going to win from the moment he sat down at a table.

Xu Increases His Lead

Niveau 32 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

After an open in middle position, the tournament's chipleader, Qiang Xu, just called on the button. In the small blind, Kou Vang moved all-in for 3,000,000. The initial raiser folded, but not Xu.

Kou Vang: AA
Qiang Xu: 77

Xu is having a lucky day as he found another seven on the board J27 to complete a set and crack the aces. After the turn 6 and the river 10, he took all of Vang's chips, climbing to 14,000,000.

Just after this hand, the table broke, and now there are four tables remaining.

Brown Eliminates Basile

Niveau 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

At the cutoff, Christopher Basile opened to 550,000, keeping 125,000 in his stack. However, in the big blind, Camille Brown raised him, putting a pile of chips in the middle to force him to go all-in.

Basile checked the payout. But as there was no pay jump, he didn't wait to call.

Christopher Basile: K8
Camille Brown: QJ

On the flop 1076, Brown had a flush draw. But it's the J on the turn that secured her victory in the hand, before the river 8. Basile was eliminated, while Brown's stack is now around 3,150,000 chips.
