Among them, Mike Garcia had already stacked 135,000 in chips. He opened on the button for 2,200 and both blinds called.

On the flop of K9Q, both blinds checked and Garcia continued to 3,000. Both blinds called.

On the turn 5, the small blind took the lead with a 6,500 bet. It was enough to take the pot straight away, as Garcia folded.

Action was caught when the dealer fanned a flop of 3107 with around 5,000 chips in the pot. Two players had cards in front of them: Antonin Scalzi from the small blind, who checked, and the player on the button, who checked-back.

The Q hit the turn, and Scalzi took 3,000 chips out of his stack to bet. He was called by the button.

When the 6 completed the board, Scalzi bet another 7,000, keeping just 13,000 chips behind. His opponent saw this short stack but just called. A second later, he gave his cards to the dealer, as Scalzi revealed 98 for a straight.

With the field continuing to climb toward 3,000, overflow has been set up in the Horseshoe event center and play has gotten underway.

5,000 already in the pot, Yu Lo continued from late position for 3,500 on a K37 flop, but Ben Anderson check-raised from the big blind to 8,000.

When the turn rolled off J, Anderson put 24,000 out in front of him, leaving only 1,000 behind. Lo cocked his head at the flop before pitching his cards in the muck.

McPike Check-Raises the Flop
