In a battle of the blinds, the turn showed 9♦6♥2♥3♣ and Johannes Becker made it 164,000 to go out of the small blind for Phil Ivey to call in the big blind. That brought them to the 7♠ river and Becker moved forward a bet worth 492,000 for a large portion of his remaining stack.
"How much do you have?" Ivey inquired and glanced at his table neighbour. Ten seconds later, he announced "all-in" and that sent Becker into a world of pain. He instantly sighed and leaned back, groaning, then moved up his hoodie to stare at the board with just one eye.
The tank of Becker lasted just two minutes before he sent the cards into the muck, allowing Ivey to drag in a large pot and join the chip leaders.
