Moneymaker Out
Niveau 6
: Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
In a blind versus blind situation, the pot was already containing 30,000 with a board showing 6♥3♥8♠J♠ when Chris Moneymaker check-raised to 22,000 after his opponent bet 9,000. The latter thought about it for some time and called.
The 3♦ hit the river and Moneymaker shoved for a remaining stack worth 34,800. His opponent went deep into the tank before making the call. Moneymaker tabled A♠Q♠ and his opponent took down the large pot with A♣K♠, eliminating the former Main Event champion in the process.
